In this study the Zigbee transmission model with positioning method by using the relative-span exponentially weighted centroid method for the indoor localization. The experimental results and analyze results are evaluated a distance error. The ZigBee transmission model in measurement consists of 121 positions with distance between positions to positions is 0.3 meter. The experimental setup at every position operated at frequency band from 2.3 GHz to 2.5 GHz. The accuracy of estimated position is considered in the term of distance error with the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of distance error is shown. The result presents optimal value for REWL is 0.2 and mean of distance error is 0.65 m.

    In this paper, the accuracy analysis of indoor positioning using min-max method is proposed. The distance error model is applied to estimate the distance between the transmitter and user's position with different path loss exponent and fading amount of indoor channel. The total $\mathbf{1 0 0}$ coordinates of user's positions are estimated using min-max method. The distance error at each position, probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of distance errors are illustrated. The mean of analysis distance error corresponds with the mean of measurement distance error with same path loss exponent and fading amount of indoor channel. The results show that it is possible to use this accuracy analysis to estimate the distance error in an indoor environment.

    Evaluation of UHF transfer function in a power transformer for real-time partial discharge detection
    The UHF transfer function is significant for a short-range communication system, e.g., a real-time diagnosis of partial discharge (PD). Real-time diagnosis of the PD has become a challenging topic of improving the diagnosis of high voltage equipment, including a power transformer. Further, the PD detection in high voltage equipment is critical since the PD can cause severe damage to electrical systems. The PD detection methods are classified by a phenomenon of the PD. The PD detection by electromagnetic (EM) method is regulated by IEC TS 62478, which specified the UHF band for the PD detection in power transformers. Hence, an evaluation of frequency characteristics is essential to achieve an excellent diagnostic performance. In this paper, a complex form of channel analysis is applied with the PD detection method. The measurement model in a power transformer is proposed. The optimum receiver is introduced to maximize SNR and hence it is easy to analyze the results. The results were analyzed by using magnitude, phase, group delay, received waveform, and path loss parameters. The results show that the measured channel is affected by the structure of the power transformer. The contribution of this research is useful for improving the precision of the PD detection with EM method and building an accurate real-time partial diagnosis via a smartphone or laptop computer.

    Ruckveratham, Bundit
    The digital terrestrial television (DTTV) transmission based on digital video broadcasting-terrestrial second generation (DVB-T2) for a single frequency network (SFN) shall be studied. The DTTV signal performance is very important. Therefore, the performance of DTTV should be studied. SFN is a key factor in DVB-T2 technology due to the benefits of SFN. In order to evaluate the DVB-T2 performance, this research had investigates broadcasting reception threshold of DVB-T2 signal. The experiment was done in a laboratory of Mass Communication Organization of Thailand company, Thailand, and field experiment was done in urban area of Sing Buri, Thailand. The measurement model was set up to measure the the DTTV performance parameter with respected to guard interval delay time of two SFN transmitters. The acceptable result of minimum power, received signal, CNR, MER, and transmission loss are presented. The reliability of the result was validated by using polynomial. The measurement results provided a useful information for optimization and modeling of DTTV broadcasting for SFN system with DVB-T2 in Thailand.

    Short-range wireless communication with low power and high data rate is a key to the future development of wireless body area network systems. Ultra-wideband technology can achieve the primary wireless communication requirements around the human vicinity. Hence, understanding the human body's effect on wireless communication systems is very important to investigate. This paper will present the evaluation scheme for the ultra-wideband human body channel characteristics in an indoor environment. The experimental is divided into two different scenarios, i.e., line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight, based on the actual wireless body area network applications. The experimental parameters cover the full band of the ultra-wideband regarding the FCC regulation of the ultra-wideband technology. The vector network analyzer and antennas are included in the experiment to measure and record the data. The channel transfer function evaluation results are path loss and delay characteristics. The contributions are useful for further development in the future wireless body area network applications as the basic knowledge of the human body effects.

    Partial discharge localization in power transformers is of utmost importance, requiring an effective evaluation method to identify the location of such events precisely. Antenna placement poses challenges within power transformers, as improper positioning can significantly affect localization precision. This paper introduces an evaluation of the fingerprinting method for ultra-high frequency partial discharge localization. The fingerprinting method, commonly employed in wireless localization systems, is utilized to assess the accuracy of partial discharge localization. The proposed method leverages fingerprinting analysis and received signal strength to evaluate partial discharge events in power transformers. Experimental partial discharge measurements are conducted on a power transformer model provided by Tesla Power Company. The results include the average received signal strength at each measurement position and the distance error of the partial discharge location determined using the fingerprinting method. This research contributes to assessing partial discharge in power transformers, offering valuable insights for enhancing their health and performance evaluation.

    Periodontitis, a primary cause of inflammation and tooth loss, can be treated by inserting an electrode into the root canal and applying a 500 kHz current for sterilization through Joule heat. However, achieving sufficient temperature rise to sterilize bacteria remains challenging for teeth with an isthmus, indicating a need for further research. Numeral results show that the temperature significantly exceeds 60° C around the active electrode and between the active electrode and the ground electrode, with a particular temperature rising when the ground electrode is positioned inside the root canal. These findings highlight the need for further research to optimize treatment efficiency, particularly in improving temperature control and sterilization effectiveness.

    Characterization of Wireless Power Transfer Measurement at 2.45 GHz
    Wireless sensor network has been developing rapidly. Internet of Things (IoT) is a major role for the next generation of wireless communication system. However, the power consumption and lifetime of the battery are a limitation for the IoT device. Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) is a promising technology to solve the problem due to it can be the ubiquitous power source for the IoT devices by provide the energy via the propagation of radiowaves. The 2.45 GHz ISM is a popular frequency bandwidth which widely used in WiFi application which make it easy to use. The performance of the propagation can evaluate by various parameter. Receive power is use to analyze the efficiency of the radio frequency transmission. Therefore, this paper has been evaluated the WPT measurement data with difference separate distance between antennas at 2.45 GHz. By using the meander line antenna as the transmit antenna and receive antenna. Vector network analyzer (VNA) is used to measure and record the transfer function. The receive power which analyze the measurement data by using link budget equation. The results have shown good agreement between the simulation and measurement result which have the average of measurement result less than the simulation result around 2 dB.

    Modulation error ratio gain of single frequency network in DVB-T2
    (2019-04-15) ; ;
    Ruckveratham, Bundit
    DVB-T2 broadcasting with a single frequency network allows an efficient management of frequency utilization and extend the coverage area, which will enable more people to view a broadcast. The SFN mode also increases the concentration of the signal in overlap areas. However, some different of overlap areas in actual use of SFN networks may have some degradation of the received signal due to the effect of the SFN. In this research, we analyze SFN broadcasting in SISO mode. This paper represents the effects of delays on the SFN signal over different delay times within the guard interval by analyzing the minimum reception threshold. The analysis of received signal power, MER, bBER, LBER, and noise margin are studied using an actual digital television transmitter for the experiment. The results show that the minimum thresholds for a delay time at 0 microseconds will require higher receive signal power than other delay times within the GI. The results of this experiment are useful in designing the SFN network and make it possible to determine the appropriate C/N threshold for the design of the digital terrestrial television network.
