Item type:Publication, An optical tunable band-pass filter using chaotic signals in a nonlinear micro ring resonator(2008-05-15) ;Yupapin, P. P. ;Suwancharoen, W.We propose a design of a tunable band-pass filtering device using an optical micro ring resonator. Such a device can be used to generate the required filtering signals in the optical communication transmission line. In principle, the chaotic signals are generated by a Kerr effects nonlinear type via a micro ring resonator. The input power can be used to control the specific filtering signals. The required information can be retrieved from the chaotic signals by using the specific filter, i.e. the specified users. The ring parameters used with the ring radii are ranged between 10-20 μm, and n<inf>2</inf> = 2.2 × 10<sup>-15</sup> m<sup>2</sup>/W. The simulation results obtained have shown the potential of using such a proposed device as tunable band-pass or band-stop filters, which can be used to form the information security. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

P.This paper proposes a new technique for a micro Stirling engine operation using leaky light resonant or whispering gallery modes (WGMs) in a nano-waveguide, in which the nano-waveguide is designed and configured by a nanoring resonator. By using the Optiwave programming based on Finite Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method, an InGaAsP/InP nanoring resonator was designed and simulated. The simulation results obtained have shown that the leaky light resonant modes can be controlled by the ring radius variations, whereas the maximum resonant peak of nanoring resonator is occurred at the inner and outer ring radii of 0.775 and 1.55 μm respectively. The maximum peak intensity of the nanoring resonator is 12000 W/m<sup>2</sup>. Finally, the use of leaky light mode resonant peak of the center nanoring resonator for micro-Stirling engine is discussed in details. © 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

P.A new design of THz frequency carrier generation for radio frequency identification (RFID) application is proposed. The dense wavelength division multiplexing can be generated and obtained by using a Gaussian or soliton pulses propagating within a modified add-drop filter known as a PANDA ring resonator. The broad bandwidth of THz signals can be obtained and available for useful applications, in which the use of the generated THz pulses for RFID application, for instance, Ad-Hoc network using RFID. Item type:Publication, Multi transporters generation for high density molecule transportation via optical communication(2010-01-01) ;Thongmee, S.; Yupapin, P. P.We propose a novel system of a quantum-molecular cryptography using the optical tweezers, whereas the transportation of molecules in the communication system can be performed. The molecule transportation states can be identified by using a single photon state of the transporter, which can be formed in the transmission line. The proposed fabricated material used is InGaAsP/InP, which can provide the required output signals. The design system consists of a nonlinear microring/nanoring resonator system incorporating an add/drop filter and a quantum signal processor. The transporter can be formed by the dark soliton, where the optical transporter is tuned and attenuated to be a single photon by the bright soliton control and transmitted into the link. In applications, the use of the proposed system incorporating a quantum processor can be performed the secured molecular communication. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, An aerosol optical thickness investigation in the Suvarnabhumi airport using an inexpensive sunphotometer(2008-05-15) ;Udomwech, K. ;Yupapin, P. P.An investigation of the optical thickness of the aerosol surrounded in the Suvranabhumi airport area using the local constructed sun-photometer is reported. The measurement data obtained are presented comparing to the ones obtained by the standard sun-photometer, where the measurement error of 5 % is obtained. The measurement was implemented within a three months period, starting from November 1th, 2006. The optical thickness obtained of 0.45 is noted, which is described in term of air quality as transparent view. Such effects may be introduced by the airplane fuel waste, infrastructure constructions and industrial estates. Further, the effects of the climate changes and global warming around the investigated area, and wireless communication link degradation are discussed. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A proposal of all-wavelength optical amplifiers(2009-01-01); ;Dunmeekaew, Ura ;Pornsuwancharoen, NithirothYupapina, Preecha P.We have shown the interesting results of the optical signal amplifications using a Gaussian pulse propagating within a nonlinear microring resonator system. Several Gaussian pulses with different center wavelengths, for instance, 400-1,500 nm are investigated using the designed system. Results have shown that the optical signal amplification using the nonlinear ring resonator is plausible. By using the input power of 2 W, the optical output of 15 W is achieved. The interesting aspect is that all Gaussian input wavelengths can be amplified which can be useful for other wavelengths in future communication. © 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
