Abstract
Currently, energy management technology is one of the most important approaches applied to reduce the energy consumption in both factories and buildings. Analysis and identification of electrical appliances are the crucial techniques which many researchers attempt to develop the effective techniques for identifying the load operation. In this paper, discrete fourier transform is adopted to automatically identify load type by transforming time domain to frequency domain. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and high accuracy of the proposed algorithm.
