Item type:Publication, Reliability Design Optimization of Casing Cap by Sample Test and FEA(2017-01-01) ;Buthgate, Siwawong; The parking brake cable in the brake system of a vehicle is an important part in the car. A new material needs to be studied; thus, this paper proposes the analysis and comparison of the results between real testing data and the simulation analysis using a Finite Element model of the part, new casing cap in parking brake cable. To validate and compare the results that can be used practically according to the qualifications and standards, the properties of the new product design, casing cap made from polyamide fiberglass composite, are investigated. By analyzing and comparing these results with the FEA design, the advantages of reduction of the weight and cost in the design process can be achieved. As show in the experimental and simulation results, the error less than 30% of the maximum pull load can be achieved. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Genetic algorithm based fixed-structure H∞ loop shaping control of a buck-boost converter(2008-01-01) ;Olranthichachat, P.; H∞ loop shaping is a feasible method for designing a robust controller; however, the controller designed by this method is complicated and has high order. It is not easy to implement this controller in practice. To overcome this problem, we propose an algorithm, GA based fixed-structure H∞ loop shaping control, to design a robust controller. In the proposed technique, genetic algorithm is used to solve the H∞ loop shaping design problem under a structure specified controller. To compare performance, conventional H∞ loop shaping, proposed robust controller and conventional ISE method are investigated. Results of simulation demonstrate the advantages of a simple structure and robustness against plant perturbations and disturbances of the proposed controller. In this paper, the proposed technique is adopted to design a robust controller of a PCMC buck-boost converter. To crop out specific points of interest, we employ image processing. Additionally, we utilize deep learning techniques, specifically convolutional neural networks, to identify the type of equipment being assembled. This approach allows us to determine and record specific parts within a device. Item type:Publication, The Development of Adaptive Gray Level Mapping Combined Partical Wwarm Optimization for Measuring the Dimeter Size of Automotive Nut(2020-04-01) ;Pondech, Wichai; In line assembly process, it is necessary to use the accurate tools to inspect the work piece. In order to measure the width, thickness or depth of the nut used in the commercial car, previously in Thai Steel Cable Company used the caliper to measure size of the automotive nut operated by human as an sample test inspection. Even the result on this technique is high accuracy, however; there are some disadvantages based on this method such as human error, idle time and also fatigue by the human. Therefore, this research focus on the development of the new measurement technique that utilized industrial camera together with the image processing algorithm to measure the entire nut with 100% inspection test. Circular Hough Transform (CHT) is applied to be the basic concept used for finding the circle position and measuring nut diameter. Although the CHT technique can measure diameter of the interested nut, but the result's accuracy is not acceptable due to measuring error from the various range of light condition. This research proposed the new technique, Adaptive Gray Level Mapping algorithm (AGLM) to increase the quality of the input picture before measuring the radius by CHT technique. Moreover, the beta in AGLM is optimized by particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique that applies 50% of nut data and other is used for validate. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed AGLM combined PSO that increase the accuracy of the visual measuring method via compare to the conventional threshold with CHT technique. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Application of Lean Manufacturing System: a Case Study of Control Cable Manufacturing(2017-01-01) ;Chanarungruengkij, Veerasak; This paper proposes the application of lean manufacturing system to improve the efficiency and reduce the wastes in the control cable process in the automotive industry. With the improvement of the bottleneck process and the balancing of the workflow of the process by considering the material flowchart, the process was improved and verified. The proposed workflow is developed based on the concept of lean manufacturing and the improvement in terms of more continuous flow can be achieved. As results indicated, the productivity of the studied process was increased by 33 percent and the waste was reduced to 0. Item type:Publication, Enhancement of stability in power energy system using visual inspection for monitoring the defect in high-voltage equipment(2013-07-12); Defect inspection of high voltage electrical equipment regularly reduces the risk of failure of power system. The risk may be due to environmental condition or improper equipment operation. To enhance the ability of the inspection, this paper focuses on the visual inspection system to check the physical properties of electrical devices by applying real-time visual inspection. Experimental results demonstrate the performance of the proposed image processing technique. Item type:Publication, PSO based adaptive force controller(2013-01-01); ;Yanyong, SaruchaForce control is widely used in many industrial applications especially in the application that actuator is contacted with environment (contacted object). If environment is changed, the performance of non-adaptive controller may be decreased. The proposed adaptive controller is an online adaptive controller which it does not necessary to identify the plant before controlling because the proposed technique can learn the model from real environment. In addition, bang-bang control is adopted in hybrid fashion to solve the problem of undesired response at learning period which may cause the damage of actuator. In the proposed technique, smart 'on the fly' vision system is applied to detect the object which does not need to stop the moving object; this helps the system to save more energy and inspection time in manufacturing process. The proposed technique adopts the optical flow to find the reference point and specify the interesting ROI. Item type:Publication, Pattern recognition technique for PAD inspection using chain-code-discrete fourier transform and signal correlation(2011-07-26); This paper presents a new technique to recognize pattern for inspecting PAD, which is an important part in Hard Disk Drive (HDD) component and IC circuit. The proposed technique uses chain-code and discrete Fourier's transform for feature extraction, and uses signal correlation technique for classifying the pattern. The extraction of object's edge is performed to determine the position and alignment of PAD. The accuracy and inspection time of the proposed algorithm are investigated and compared with the other pattern recognition techniques, such as full template matching, coarse to fine method, etc. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed technique. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Development of a new part of casing cap for the parking brake cable using finite element analysis(2017-04-01) ;Buthgate, Siwawong; The brake system is an important safety system in every vehicle. This system is utilized for controlling of the vehicle movement. This paper proposes a new design and development of casing cap for the parking brake cable by applying the finite element technique to analyzing and evaluating the feasibility of the material and the design of the product. The study and analysis of influential factors affecting the parts of casing cap by JASO standard F903-75 control cable for automobiles are described. The results show that the plastic PA GF15 can be used to replace the conventional material that is steel casing cap, and will then be able to reduce the overall cost material by 2.5%. In addition, the results of the analysis illustrate that all features of the new product are complied with JASO F903-75, the control cable standard for vehicles.
