Abstract

The results showed that Curcuma longa and Illicium verum nEOs performed extremely high mortality and antifeedant activity, as well as affected on growth development of Spodoptera exigua. Essential oil nanoemulsions at 0.35 % concentrations caused 100% mortality, 100% antifeedant activity, and 100% growth inhibition. Curcuma longa and Illicium verum nEOs revealed to be used as botanical insecticide for controlling Spodoptera exigua.
