Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of possible causes of nuisance tripping of paper machine effect to imperfect paper production. The possible causes of the focused paper machine failure are paper thickness, paper type, sensor configuration, and sensor placement. Experiment procedures based on analysis of variance (ANOVA) are designed to test the interesting causes. Analysis result can be useful for minimizing the imperfect paper production.
