Abstract
The goal of code generation is to programmatically transform the structure and implementation of some algorithms into a particular code platform. In this paper, the platform of the dsPIC microcontrollers is targeted in order to take an advantage of the DSP engine built in such microcontroller for implementing digital filters and a PID controller. However, the defining and initializing process of fractional filters and the controller built in the library consumes a lot of developing time and probably causes human errors. Four MATLAB platform functions called tf2iircanonic, tf2transposed, tf2fir, fractionalPID are proposed to address those inconveniences. As a result, the designing process incorporating the proposed functions will exponentially enhance the developing procedure. © 2011 IEEE.
