Abstract

This work presents the circuit configuration for realizing a canonical current-mode multifunction biquad filter with single input and three outputs (SITO) is introduced. The presented filter uses a single current-controlled conveyor transconductance amplifier (CCCTA) and only two grounded capacitors, without using external passive resistors. It is capable of generating the three standard biquadratic filtering functions, i.e. lowpass, bandpass and highpass current responses simultaneously, without changing circuit configuration. The proposed filter can also be tuned electronically by external bias currents of the CCCTA. The circuit is analyzed for the non-idealities of the used CCCTA and possesses attractive low sensitivity performance. PSPICE simulation results are found to be in good agreement with the theoretical analysis.
