Enhancement of stability in power energy system using visual inspection for monitoring the defect in high-voltage equipment

Abstract

Defect inspection of high voltage electrical equipment regularly reduces the risk of failure of power system. The risk may be due to environmental condition or improper equipment operation. To enhance the ability of the inspection, this paper focuses on the visual inspection system to check the physical properties of electrical devices by applying real-time visual inspection. Experimental results demonstrate the performance of the proposed image processing technique. As results indicated, the proposed technique performs fast and highly accurate inspection.
