Abstract
Photovoltaic power generation system has been increasing in term of installed capacity in the last few decades. With recent policy in Thailand that support people to invest in renewable energy in household with solar rooftop program. It is important to analyze the performance of solar rooftop PV generating system in residential sector. In this paper present simulation of Photovoltaic (PV) Grid-connected system using PSIM program. Three type of solar panel have been used in the research; Monocrystalline, Polycrystalline and Thin Film. Comparison in term of power generating, efficiency and power quality between these three types of solar panel when connected to utility grid were done to evaluate performance in term of energy and economic aspect.
