Item type:Publication, Path loss and matched filter gain of free space and ground reflection channels for UWB radio systems(2004-12-01); ;Takada, Jun Ichi; Tangtisanon, PrakitIn this paper, the path loss and matched filter gain of free space and ground reflection channels for UWB radio systems are proposed. The passband rectangular pulse with specific center frequency and bandwidth is used as the transmitted signal. The complex form Friis transmission formula is used for the UWB channel. The received signal is evaluated. The UWB path loss is defined as the ratio between the maximum amplitude of the transmitted and received signal waveforms. At the receiver, the matched filter detection with its frequency transfer junction satisfying the constant noise power condition is used. The UWB matched filter gain is defined as the ratio between the maximum amplitude of the signal waveform at the output of the matched filter and that of the received signal waveform. The closed form path loss and matched filter gain expressions are derived. The characteristics of the path loss and matched filter gain are shown and discussed in this paper. © 2004IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Wideband antenna performance evaluation for ultra wideband communication system(2018-07-02) ;Ruethorn, IssareeThe transmission loss in modern wireless communication systems is usually evaluate by Friis' formula. However, ultra wideband communication systems cannot apply its directly because the transmission waveform for the ultra wideband is difference from the other wireless communication systems. In this paper, the performance of the ultra wideband antenna with the measurement data of the transmission waveform based on Friis' formula and correlation receiver are presented. This scheme used to evaluate formula for the transmission waveform of the ultra wideband communication system. The distortion will be consider the receiver waveform and antenna should be known. Since the ultra wideband transmission waveform are pulse-shaping by the antenna, difference parameter of the antenna is investigated, especially the effect of the antenna performance and waveform template. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Zigbee wireless sensor network localization evaluation schemewith weighted centroid method(2018-08-14) ;Thammavong, Lonesy ;Khongsomboon, Khamphong; Using wireless communication system, appropriate and correct indoor localization with Zigbee sensor network and could provide interesting services and applications. In this study the Zigbee transmission model with positioning method by using the relative-span exponentially weighted centroid method for the indoor localization. The experimental results and analyze results are evaluated a distance error. The ZigBee transmission model in measurement consists of 121 positions with distance between positions to positions is 0.3 meter. The experimental setup at every position operated at frequency band from 2.3 GHz to 2.5 GHz. The accuracy of estimated position is considered in the term of distance error with the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of distance error is shown. The result presents optimal value for REWL is 0.2 and mean of distance error is 0.65 m. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Evaluation of WUWB Transmission with LOS and NLOS for Smart Home(2018-07-02); ; ;Airphaiboon, SurapanWireless ultra-wideband communications technology (WUWB) is a fast popular technology because many unique attractive features that promotes development about wireless communications, networking. WUWB has so high elevated and also allows the force spectral intensity to be so few, and the force limits on UWB are being severely limited by the regulatory bodies. Technology offers plenty advantages, particularly about terms of so high data transmission rates which are good above those probable with currently deployed technologies. The optimization of data transmission is to use multiantenna WUWB method. So, as an alternative, a multiantenna can be used to reduce the error rate as well as improve the quality and capability of wireless transmission by directing, with an aim to adventure the spatial diversity in the channel. The benefits of such a system can be found in independent relationships. This paper presents the spatial effects about transmitter/receiver relations for multiantenna UWB systems under line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) situation. A comparison results exhibit that the relations reduce as the antenna length expand for the scenario. In the example of a NLOS situation, the relations does not rely on the spacing. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Multipath interference cancellation in multiantenna system with blind channel estimation method(2017-01-18); This paper describes on evaluating performance of blind channel estimation methods to cancel the multipath interference from a severity of channel measurement. The proposed methods are considered in an optimal receiver behind the multiantenna system that provides by approaching a zero-forcing (ZF) and minimum mean square error (MMSE) based on the blind signal processing techniques. In this paper, we measured the 4 × 4 MIMO calibration kit with 2.45 GHz sleeve monopole array antennas and employed a vector network analyzer (VNA) to make of channel sounding. The measurement results after data processing is demonstrated by a realistic received signal and we point out how to evaluate the multipath interference with the proposed methods. For the MIMO multiantenna system, we guarantee that the proposed blind channel estimation methods helps to cancel the multipath fading channel and maintains an uncertainty of receiving signals in multiantenna system as perfectly. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Accuracy Analysis of Indoor Positioning Using Min-Max Method(2025-01-01); ;Vinicchayakul, Wipassorn ;Tabsombat, Sirinya; In this paper, the accuracy analysis of indoor positioning using min-max method is proposed. The distance error model is applied to estimate the distance between the transmitter and user's position with different path loss exponent and fading amount of indoor channel. The total $\mathbf{1 0 0}$ coordinates of user's positions are estimated using min-max method. The distance error at each position, probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of distance errors are illustrated. The mean of analysis distance error corresponds with the mean of measurement distance error with same path loss exponent and fading amount of indoor channel. The results show that it is possible to use this accuracy analysis to estimate the distance error in an indoor environment. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Therefore, the channel's characteristics and the human body effect must be studied. This paper will investigate the wireless body area network localization and ZigBee technology based on the IEEE 802.15.4. Moreover, model wireless body area network measurement using a vector network analyzer at the frequency range of 2.2 GHz to 2.6 GHz for measurement and recording. In the experiment result, the wireless body area network localization is analyzed and evaluated by considering the received signal strength and distance error shown in the cumulative distribution function based on the CLEAN algorithm. From experimental studies, this project is beneficial for development studies and essential information for future research studies of wireless body area network localization applications. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Experimental study of transmission loss for ultra wideband impulse radio(2007-12-01) ;Manositthichai, NarongsakAn ultra wideband impulse radio (UWB-IR) is applied for short-range system such as wireless personal area network (WPAN) in of£ce and home network. The characteristics of transmission signal are very complicated and dif£cult to predict. Therefore, the performances of transmission gain should be considered. In this paper, an experimental study of transmission loss for UWB-IR is presented. We discuss the characteristics of UWB-IR transmission system. The rectangular passband waveform is used as the UWB-IR transmitted waveform. The transfer functions of channels are measured in the convention room using vector network analyzer (VNA). The matched £lter is considered at receiver side to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The optimum received signal, the relative gain and correlation coef£cient are evaluated and shown. ©2007 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
