Abstract
This article focuses on an improving crystallization system to upgrade raw cane sugar production. The proposed technique uses a continuous vacuum pan branded DECHAROEN™ to replace the traditional batch vacuum pan without crystal quality problems. Surpassing the early use of batch type, the employ of new continuous type providing technical advance and ease of full automation affords significant improvements in saving energy, reducing loss of sucrose, and expanding production capacity. Its economic benefits are now gladly accepted in 6 cane sugar manufacturers in China and Thailand, whose crystallization process employs the new DECHAROEN™ vacuum pan. © 2011 ISSN 1881-803X.
