Abstract
Two simple configurations for simulating the resistorless floating inductor and capacitor using voltage differencing transconductance amplifier (VDTA) as a novel active element have been presented in this paper. The proposed floating simulated inductance circuit uses only one VDTA and one grounded capacitor, whereas the proposed floating simulated capacitance circuit uses two VDTAs and one grounded capacitor. The equivalent values of the realized simulators can be tuned electronically through the transconductance parameter of the VDTA. Both of the circuits also do not require any realization conditions. The proposed circuits together with their applications are demonstrated using PSPICE simulation with 0.35 μm TSMC CMOS technology. Copyright © 2012 The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.
