Abstract
The aim of this paper is to confirm the result of treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) using microwave balloon antenna. In this paper, we performed in vitro experiments using microwave with frequency of 2.45 GHz to generate heat on urethra porcine tissue. The results revealed that the area around urethra tissue was not severely burned. Urethra tissue evidently expands from pathological examination of microstructure of urethra using microscope. From the result of this research, microwave balloon antenna can be applied for the treatment of BPH in the future.
