Abstract
This paper presents the design of the flexible manufacturing system (FMS) cooperated with the automatic warehouse in Computer Integrated Manufacturing System (CIMS). The main function of CIM system includes production planning, material requirement planning, work order generation, process control, quality control, automated warehouse management and control, shipping planning and management and material cost accounting, in the part of manufacturing process consists of the conveyer system and 3-axis robot that has a variety patterns in order to work as the punch process. The system controlled by 2 PLCs that communicated by identify sensor via a magnetic data carrier. Moreover, this FMS has developed to communicate with the automatic warehouse through local area network (LAN) in order to work order generate depend on RP (Reorder point). In this article, the efficiency can be increased following Just-In-Time System that has more important in industries nowadays.
