Item type:Publication, CMA of Wideband Circularly Polarized Metasurface Antenna for 5G Wireless Technology(2023-01-01) ;Supreeyatitikul, Nathapat ;Keowsawat, Panisa ;Kanahna, Rachen ;Lertwiriyaprapa, TitipongPhongcharoenpanich, ChuwongThis paper proposes a compact circularly polarized (CP) metasurface (MTS) antenna for 5G wireless communications. The characteristic mode analysis (CMA) is utilized to characterize the antenna structure. The proposed CP MTS antenna consisted of two substrate layers of FR-4 type. The upper substrate layer contained multi-shaped MTS cells. The lower substrate layer functioned as an aperture-coupled feed. The evolution of the proposed CP MTS antenna comprised of four stages: MTS-1 (conventional MTS scheme), MTS-2, MTS-3, and MTS-4 (proposed antenna). The conventional MTS scheme generated the two MS modes (Modes 1 and 2) with orthogonal surface current and radiations. Besides, the surface current of Modes 3 and 4 is traveled along the edges of the conventional MTS scheme. To eliminate those surface currents, the multi-shaped is utilized which sits around the conventional MTS scheme (MTS-2, 3, and 4). When an aperture-coupled feed is applied, the ARBW of the MTS-1 is improved. The simulated IBW and ARBW at 3.5 GHz (center frequency) are 43.4% (3.4-4.92 GHz) and 37.14% (3.28-4.58), respectively. The maximum gain is 7.25 dBic at 3.6 GHz. The radiation characteristic is right-hand circular polarization, rendering the proposed CP MTS antenna reasonable for 5G technology. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Dual-polarized circular ring antenna with short pin(2017-12-19) ;Keowsawat, Panisa ;Kanahna, RachenPhongcharoenpanich, ChuwongThis paper presents the design of dual-polarized circular ring antenna with short pin to ground plane. The antenna is proposed to use in the Multiple-Input Multiple-Output communication systems. The parameters of the antenna that are ring radius (a), ring width (d), probe length (l), short pin length (p), and ground plane size (G) were analyzed at the operating frequency of 2.2 GHz. The results showed the S<inf>11</inf> was lower than-11 dB with the S<inf>11</inf> of-17 dB. The effective of the short pin that used for reducing the mutual coupling between two probes can be investigated. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Correlation between transmission coefficient and permittivity properties of sugar solution(2016-09-06) ;Keowsawat, Panisa ;Phongcharoenpanich, Chuwong ;Kanahna, RachenAkkaraekthalin, PrayootThe permittivity properties that are dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor of five different total soluble solid sugar solution were measured with an open-ended coaxial-line probe and a network analyzer from 950 to 2650 MHz. The transmission coefficient sending through this sugar solution was also measured over the same frequency. The relationship between the transmission coefficient and the permittivity properties was studied. The high correlation between transmission coefficient and permittivity properties was found with the highest R2= 0.70 for dielectric loss factor. The negative linear relationship between transmission coefficient and dielectric loss factor was shown with the predicted regression equation corresponding to the different total soluble solid. This study can confirm the use of microwave transmission or free space technique to identify the sweetness of the solution such as sugar solution or juice. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Investigation of the natural resonant frequencies of palmyrah palm juice for quality control(2016-03-07) ;Tantisopharak, Tanawut ;Keowsawat, Panisa ;Kanahna, Rachen ;Krairiksh, MonaiSarkar, Tapan K.This paper proposes an identification methodology to distinguish between pure and adulterated palmyrah palm juice. The resonance behavior of the palmyrah palm juice has been investigated through numerical electromagnetic simulation. From the scattered response, the natural frequencies of the palmyrah palm juice are extracted. The identification can be performed by cataloging and comparing these pre computed library of the natural resonant frequencies associated with the standard palmyrah palm juice to check for the quality of the samples to be tested. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Identification of pure and impure palmyrah palm juice by using microwave sensor system(2015-10-01) ;Kanahna, Rachen ;Keowsawat, Panisa ;Promwong, SathapornPhongcharoenpanich, ChuwongThe objective of this research was to construct a microwave sensor system for identifying the pure and impure palmyrah palm juice. The microwave sensor system consisted of the signal generator, the detector circuit and the processing unit. The system measured the transmission signal between a pair of antennas at the frequency of 2.45 GHz. The transmission signal sending through the pure palmyrah palm juice and the impure juice that was added the granulated and coconut sugar was measured. The results showed the difference of transmission signal magnitude with the different kinds of juice and total soluble solid (TSS). The results that were measured by the proposed microwave sensor system get along well with the results from the network analyzer. Then, this proposed system can be used to distinguish the pure and impure juice. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Dielectric properties of Palmyrah palm juice at microwave frequencies(2014-03-25) ;Kanahna, Rachen ;Keowsawat, Panisa ;Promwong, SathapornPhongcharoenpanich, ChuwongThe dielectric properties of Palmyrah palm juice with different total soluble solid (TSS) of 16-32° Brix were measured by open ended coaxial probe at three different frequencies of 915, 1800, and 2450 MHz. The dielectric constant was increased with increasing TSS and vice versa for the dielectric loss factor. At 2450 MHz, the dielectric constant and loss factor were higher than 915 M Hz along the entire ranges of TSS. There are the distinctions of dielectric constant and loss factor between the pure and impure palm juice. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Achievable diversity performance and range improvement from polarization diversity bi-directional antenna using two-probe excited circular ring(2004-12-01) ;Keowsawat, Panisa ;Phongcharoenpanich, Chuwong ;Kosulvit, SompolKrairiksh, MonaiThe polarization diversity bi-directional antenna using two-probe excited circular ring is proposed The antenna design and the suitable dimension for 5 GHz are presented. The electromagnetic characteristics of the proposed antenna are simulated by Numerical Electromagnetics Code 2. The bi-directional radiation pattern can be achieved for using in the long and narrow service area. The Diversity Antenna Gains (DAG) of the proposed antenna with the angle between two probes of 90° and 120° are better than the DAG of the conventional space diversity dipole antenna by 0.44 dB and 0.90 dB, respectively. Furthermore, the proposed antenna can improve the coverage range service area as shown its effectiveness by the average Bit Error Rate (BER). © 2004IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
