Item type:Publication, Ineffective Online Learning During the COVID-19 Pandemic in Higher Education(2026-01-01); ;Hong, Jon Chao ;Yanwar, Amanda Pradhani ;Prabowo, Thoriq TriSuwanno, PhimpaweeThe rapid shift to online learning during COVID-19 caused challenges in higher education. Many teachers and students lacked experience with online learning platforms and techniques. The factors why online learning was not effective during the COVID-19 pandemic are examined. A total of 302 questionnaires were collected using Google Form. The quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS for item analysis, facet reliability and validity analysis, path analysis, direct and indirect effect analysis, and difference analysis. The effect of online learning flow, online learning cognitive load, and self-efficacy of online learning on unsuccessful online learning was revealed in this study. The result showed that: (1) greater levels of Self-efficacy of Online Learning on Human-system interaction (SOLH) and Self-efficacy of Online Learning on Content (SOLC) were significantly predict higher levels of Flow in Online Learning (FOL); (2) greater levels of Self-efficacy of Online Learning on Human-system interaction (SOLH) and Self-efficacy of Online Learning on Content (SOLC) were not significantly predict higher levels of Cognitive Load of Online Learning (CLOL); and (3) greater levels of Cognitive Load of Online Learning (CLOL) were significantly predicted higher levels of Online Learning Ineffectiveness (OLI). The online learning ineffectiveness can be reduced by decreasing the levels of cognitive load instead the learning flow. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Game-based learning to enhance students logical thinking abilities in primary school Mathematics(2023-09-26) ;Liang, HuilinIn traditional teaching, teachers are always in an authoritative position in education, while students are in one of weak passive obedience. Learning efficiency, attention, and logical thinking can all be negatively affected. The literature shows that game-based learning is one of the most effective teaching methods. It establishes a game-based learning environment for students and helps them improve themselves. In this study, we will build on previous research to develop a game-based learning environment. Using primary school Mathematics as an experimental course, a lesson plan was designed and verified in terms of whether the course could help students master subject knowledge through the conducting of experiments, and whether this approach could improve their logical thinking skills. To judge the effectiveness of the methodology, 84 students from a public primary school in southern China were selected as the study subjects. One group was the experimental group, consisting of 44 students, and one group was a control group, consisting of 40 students. This study used a quantitative approach. The study lasted one month and was a post-test. The research tool included a student questionnaire concerning their ability to think mathematically and logically. Experimental results show that game-based learning effectively improves students' logical thinking abilities. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Project-Driven Flipped Classroom Develop Digital Competences in Preschool Education Students(2024-01-01) ;Lu, Lingming; Digital competency is one of the most important competencies for normal university students in the digital age. It will have a direct impact on the next generation they teach. At present, there are still some problems in the teaching content and teaching model. This study implements a project-driven flipped classroom teaching model for students by redesigning and developing a modern educational technology curriculum. 144 students participated in the experiment. Self-assessment was conducted in accordance with the ICT Teaching Competency Standards for Pre-service Teachers. The results show that project-driven flipped classroom solves the problem of learners' motivation. It can effectively improve the problems such as students cannot learn continuously, learn fragmented knowledge, and are easy to forget. At the same time, this study also points out flipped classroom requires university students have a certain level of self-management and self-learning ability. Several people have studied online exhibitions, which are considered capable of increasing student learning participation. Assessing the status and trend of careful research will give a broader perspective and reference for upcoming research. However, in the Scopus database, only 116 documents related to student online exhibitions exist. Therefore, we aim to explore bibliographic aspects of publications about student online exhibitions using bibliometrics analysis. Technologies and its advantages are the dominant discussions. Most of the documents were from the highest citations were journals with a Q1 ranking of quartiles. This topic has been studied since 1995, with 2021 being the peak. English is the majority language used from retrieved documents originating from these 47 countries. Micro-learning has been referred to enhance foreign language learning and performance in the most efficient and effective method possible through short pieces of content. However, few studies investigated the effect of micro-learning on English word learning for those who are ESL learners using a specific mobile application. Therefore, this study aims to find out what factors affect the English wording learning of College students using Superstar, which is a mobile application with micro-learning. Evaluating how micro-learning promotes the capacity, motivation, and satisfaction of English word learning than the traditional learning method. Mixed methods research was used to collect data from 84 freshman in China. The results indicate that using Superstar to learn English vocabulary help to improve the capacity and motivation of college students in English word learning. Item type:Publication, Integrating the Three Regulations of Learning: A Bibliometric Analysis of Research Trends(2025-01-01) ;Khwankaew, ApichayaRegulation of learning is crucial for encouraging personal growth and adaptability in the learning process. This study aims to investigate the connections among keywords related to supporting the regulation of learning, including connections in several authors, through bibliometric analysis to visualize co-occurrence and co-authorship data using VOSviewer. This study investigates 94 articles published in the ScienceDirect database between 2006 and January 2025. The highest citation was published in 2006, the first year of study, with a Q1 ranking of quartiles. However, our findings reveal a remarkable gap in the literature on encouraging integration of self-regulation, co-regulation, and socially-shared regulation. There are very few studies that effectively integrate these three regulations of learning. Item type:Publication, Artificial Intelligence Enhancing Physical Education: A systematic literature review(2024-01-01) ;Zhao, Juan; This study aims to systematically review the application of Artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance physical education (PE). To this end, 104 journals in the databases of Baidu Scholar, Google Scholar, and King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang Library from 2014 to October 2023 were selected as research objects, and the research results were analyzed using the content analysis method. The analysis results show that the first research on this topic was conducted in 2014, and the Number of relevant studies has increased yearly, especially during the pandemic. In addition, these studies were mainly conducted in a combination of quantitative and qualitative, mainly journal articles. In addition, the samples of these studies are from each academic section, and most of the studies are conducted by college students. The analysis focuses on article distribution, publication time, research content, technology selection, and current and future challenges and summarizes the development trend, specific applications, benefits, and challenges of AI sports. The findings of the studies revealed that AI technology in PE can improve students' physical achievement, cognition, and learning habits. On the other hand, AI technology can enhance the effect of PE so that students have a greater interest in learning sports. Item type:Publication, Flipped Classroom Approach for the Development of Thinking Skills and the Fostering of Student Engagement(2023-01-01)This study investigated students' perceptions of a flipped classroom approach to develop thinking skills and to foster student engagement in a culture and language for teachers course at a large university in Thailand. This strategy aimed at improving teaching quality and learning efficiency. Forty-one undergraduate students participated in this study and were divided into two groups (good and poor student ability groups). Mixed methods research was adopted, using a questionnaire and interview to understand the effectiveness and students' perspectives of the flipped classroom approach. The results showed that the flipped classroom approach enhanced students' thinking skills, and increased student engagement. It contributed positively to the students' learning experience, although they preferred the passive learning in the traditional classroom. The results of the paired-samples t-Test suggested that a good student ability group could be successfully engaged using the flipped classroom approach.
