Item type:Publication, Grounded Series/Parallel RL/RC Immittance Simulations with a Single VDTA(2022-01-01); ; This paper discusses actively simulated RL and RC immittance simulator circuits. Only one voltage difference transconductance amplifier (VDTA) and one grounded capacitor are required for each realized simulator. The proposed simulator concept can realize all the possible series and parallel RL/RC impedance functions, with the simulated equivalent elements being tunable both electronically and separately through the VDTA's transconductance gains. The impacts of VDTA non-idealities on realized simulator performance are examined. The numerical simulations using PSPICE program, as well as experimental measurements utilizing commercially available IC CA3080s, are provided to prove the practicability of the circuits. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Grounded Series/Parallel RC Impedance Simulators with a Single VDBA(2023-01-01); ; ;Fukuhara, MasaakiThis article presents grounded RC series/parallel impedance simulator circuits employing a single voltage differencing buffered amplifier (VDBA) as an active element. The proposed RC series impedance simulator consists of one capacitor and one resistor, while the proposed grounded RC parallel type requires only a single capacitor as a passive element. The simulated equivalent resistance and capacitance values can be tuned electronically through the transconductance gain of VDBA device which can be adjusted by means of the external biasing current. The performance validation of the proposed circuits including the resonant circuit application is proved by simulation results via PSPICE software based on TSMC 0.25-μ m CMOS technology. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Grounded Parallel RL, RC, and LC Immittance Simulators Using VDBAs and Passive Elements(2022-01-01) ;Mongkolwai, Pratya; ; This communication suggests a grounded parallel RL, RC, and LC immittance simulator. In this circuit, two voltage differencing buffered amplifiers (VDBAs) with two passive components are proposed. The VDBA device's transconductance gain can be used to electronically adjust the realized equivalent resistance (Req), inductance (Leq), and capacitance (Ceq), which is conditional on the choice of the passive element. The effect of the VDBA's non-idealities on the realized simulator is studied in this research. The second order voltage mode bandpass filter is realized using the proposed active LC parallel simulator, which is simulated using the PSPICE simulation program to ensure that it operates as desired. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Voltage differencing buffered amplifier-based electronically tunable grounded capacitance multiplier(2019-03-16); ; A minimal realization of electronically adjustable capacitance multiplication topology with voltage differencing buffered amplifier (VDBA) is proposed. The proposed capacitance multiplier circuit is designed by means of two VDBAs and one floating capacitor. A capacitance multiplication factor is adjusted electronically through the ratio of two transconductances. The effect of the non-ideal gains of the VDBA is also taken into account and carried out. As an analog application example, the proposed capacitance multiplier circuit is utilized in the design of an electronically tunable first-order low-pass filter. PSPICE simulations with TSMC 0.25-µm CMOS technology are included to support the theoretical analysis. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Voltage Differencing Gain Amplifier-Based Shadow Filter: A Comparison Study(2020-07-01); ; This study determines the voltage-mode shadow filter realization based on voltage differencing gain amplifier (VDGA) in comparison with a classical second-order filter. The realized shadow filter uses three VDGAs and only two grounded capacitors, and can simultaneously realize second-order lowpass and bandpass filter responses. The natural angular frequency (ωA) and the quality factor (QA) can be tuned by means of the VDGAs' transconductance gains. The performance comparison between the realized shadow filter and the classical second-order filter is demonstrated through simulation results with 0.25μm CMOS technology. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, VDTA-based floating/grounded series/parallel R-L and R-C immittance simulators with a single grounded capacitor(2023-02-01); ;Faseehuddin, Mohammad; ;Herencsar, NorbertActive configurations for simulating floating/grounded series and parallel immittance functions based on voltage differencing transconductance amplifiers (VDTAs) are proposed. The grounded series and parallel immittance simulators presented here require only one VDTA, while the proposed floating ones only need two. Each of the suggested simulators uses a single grounded capacitor. The proposed topologies can imitate R-L and R-C immittances in both series and parallel types. All of the simulated equivalent elements are electronically adjustable through the VDTA's transconductance. Furthermore, no component-matching restrictions are imposed in order to achieve the appropriate immittance function. Applications of the proposed VDTA-based immittance simulators include bandpass filter and quadrature oscillator implementations. The behaviors of the proposed circuits and their applications are evaluated by PSPICE simulations and experimental observations using VDTA implemented with commercially available CA3080 type OTAs. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, On the Resistorless Realization of Simulated Tunable Floating Lossy Inductors with Voltage Differencing Buffered Amplifiers(2021-04-01); ; Abstract: Alternative circuit designs concerning the simulation of floating lossy inductors using voltage differencing buffered amplifiers (VDBAs) are described. The topologies proposed here require only three VDBAs and one capacitor to simulate a floating inductance with series and parallel resistance. The simulated equivalent elements, namely equivalent resistance (R<inf>eq</inf>) and equivalent inductance (L<inf>eq</inf>) are electronically controllable through the external bias currents of the VDBAs. The VDBA non-idealities including transconductance inaccuracy and voltage transfer error on the performance of the circuits has been discussed in detail. To support the theoretical analysis and demonstrate the practical workability of the proposed synthetic inductors, PSPICE simulation and experimental test results are also reported. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Actively simulated floating lossless inductor for short range wireless communication(2019-01-01); ; ;Unhavanich, SumaleeThis communication describes the resistorless simulation of the floating lossless inductor using three voltage differencing buffered amplifiers (VDBAs) and one grounded capacitor. The circuit employs only a grounded capacitor, and no other extra resistor element is employed. Thus, it is suitable for further communication integrated front-end circuit design in short-range wireless and application. The realized equivalent inductance value of the simulated inductor can be changed electronically via the external biasing currents of the VDBAs. Sufficient simulation results with the PSPICE program are provided to validate the functionality of the realized inductor. In addition to establishing the practical operation of the simulator, the measured test results obtained from hardware implementation using readily available integrated chips (ICs) are also included. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, VDBA-based electronically tunable capacitance multiplier with a grounded capacitor(2018-07-02); ; This work presents an electronically tunable grounded capacitance multiplier circuit based on the voltage differencing buffered amplifier (VDBA), a recently introduced active building block. The proposed capacitor circuit requires only two VDBAs, one floating resistor, and one grounded capacitor. The circuit can be tuned electronically via the VDBA transconductance ratio. The effect of the VDBA non-idealities on the simulated capacitance value has also been discussed in detail. The usability of the proposed tunable capacitance simulator has been verified by realizing the fourth-order low-pass filter application with a Butterworth approximation. In order to verify the theory, the behavior of the circuits is evaluated with PSPICE simulation program using TSMC 0.25-µm CMOS process parameters. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Floating/grounded series/parallel R-L, R-C and L-C immittance simulators employing VDTAs and only two grounded passive elements(2022-02-01); ; In this paper, four floating/grounded series and parallel immittance simulator topologies are proposed, utilizing voltage differencing transconductance amplifiers (VDTAs) as useful active devices. Each of the proposed topologies requires only two grounded passive components. The floating series and parallel simulated immittance circuits proposed here require just two VDTAs, whilst the grounded ones require only one. The proposed topologies can simulate R-L, R-C, and L-C immittances in series and parallel. All of the simulated equivalent elements for the realized immittances are orthogonal adjustable. Furthermore, there are no critical element equality criteria required for the desired immittance function realization. The behavior of the proposed VDTA-based immittance simulators is exemplified in LC ladder filter and sinusoidal oscillator applications. To illustrate the simulator's performance, PSPICE simulation and experimental test results are used.
