Item type:Publication, Active power control technique of a BESS and crate parameter consideration for AC microgrid applications(2019-03-01) ;Prompinit, Krisada; ; Manee-In, ChaitouchThis paper presents the active power control of a BESS to reduce the PV power fluctuation problem by using the ramp rate control technique, including the C-rate parameter for the AC microgrid system applications, by simulating and designing the battery management system (BMS). The suitable power of BESS power rating can be estimated from the power ramp rate (PRR) of the PV power generation system. Based on the simulated results, it is found that high electrical discharge caused the temperature inside the battery to rise higher than that of low-voltage discharge, and with the simulation results from Real Battery Management System Program, the software can control the charging and discharging of BESS's active power and display real-time results via the display screen. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The plug and outlet for home appliances in DC low voltage micro-grid system(2017-11-03); This proposed paper introduces the more effectiveness of power transferring in dc micro-grid power distribution in order to comprehend the usage of home appliances. A 300V 5-level diode clamped multilevel is operated as power source for contactless power transfer with a selective harmonic elimination(SHE) technique, and the output is set at 48 V 300W with the efficiency at 92.6%. The converter generates 200 kHz switching frequency to send a highly magnetic coupling through primary coil over ferromagnetic material in tight coupling condition. The paper aims are to eliminate the electric shock, galvanic isolation and arch free in dc to dc power conversion. Additionally, the lower %THD can reduce designed parameters which mean the power density will be increased. The output will be illustrated in both simulation and implementation results. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A Bidirectional LCC-S Compensator on Wireless Power Transfer with Constant Voltage(2025-01-01) ;Songcharoentrap, Saranyoo; ; This paper studies a bidirectional wireless power transfer (BD-WPT) system designed for electric vehicles (EVs) operating at 400V input, 350V output, 11kW, and 85kHz. The bidirectional power electronic devices that function as inverters or rectifiers with relays are employed to alter the direction of power flow between the source and the vehicle in the bidirectional DC-DC converter, which utilizes the LCC-S resonant circuit that is designed separately for the source and vehicle. MATLAB/Simulink is used to conduct the validation. The output voltage on both the source and the vehicle sides can be regulated to a specific level. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Deteriorated solar panel detection technique of SST for a solar farm application(2019-03-01) ;Khemmook, Panya; ; This proposed paper introduces the fault detection method for solar cell with Box Plot technique on the Solid State Transformer (SST) for the solar farm application. The Box Plot technique with inclusive quartile value is functioned for finding the upper and lower limit for data analysis. Normally, the fault detections of solar panels are found by using the PV string current from the SST to calculate the upper and lower limit of the Box Plot. If one of the string currents is in the specific outer boundary, therefore, the solar panels are in non-operational condition mode. Generally, the fault detection testing for the solar panels can be categorized in 5 cases: normal condition, open circuit condition, line-line condition, partial shading condition and degradation condition. Finally, based on the simulation result and the actual results, the Box Plot is able to monitor the performance of the PV string according to various conditions as efficiently as possible and accurate. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Hamiltonian Control Law with State Observer on Practical Design of Wireless Power Transfer for Autonomous Guided Vehicle Battery Charging Applications(2026-01-01); ;Somboonpanya, Nattapon ;Ketjaem, Supakorn ;Phongsawat, SuwaphitThis paper presents the design and calculation of wireless power transfer (WPT) integrated with the Hamiltonian Control Law. The proposed controller demonstrates greater effectiveness in terms of system stability and precise energy control, as compared to the commonly used PI controller in industrial applications. The proposed prototype has been built for assessment in both simulation and implementation, with a rated output power of 500 W and 48 V. The load-independent compensating topology, such as the LCC-S resonant tank, is used to transmit power wirelessly through an air core. Finally, in the last stage, the Hamiltonian Control Law with state observer is applied on the dc-to-dc buck mode converter to control the battery current and overall system. Apparently, the charging current can be precisely regulated to a specific value. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, An optimization design of the diode clamped multi-level converter for coaxial inductive power transfer on the low voltage DC micro-grid(2018-01-01); This proposed paper aims for the high efficiency contactless power transfer in household dc power distribution. A 300 W five-level diode clamped multi-level converter with 300 Vdc input dc link bus is employed for the power transferring task and the output voltage range is controlled at 48 Vdc. The inner and outer solenoid coils are used for inductive power transfer (IPT) transformer with the 200 kHz switching frequency for designed power density. Therefore, to achieve the converter efficiency above 95%, the LLC series resonant with fundamental harmonic analysis (FHA) and the calculated switching angles are used as an optimized tool for designing the system resonant tank. The validations of this approached topology are illustrated in both MATLAB/Simulink simulation and implementation. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The Prediction of Lithium Battery Life in Cellular Telecommunication Stations(2022-01-01) ;Khemmook, Panya; This research paper introduces the remaining useful life prediction of lithium batteries operating at 48 V, 100 Ah on the cellular telecommunication substation with the load supply current conditions 1C rate at 100% DOD. According to the prediction technique, a 100-cycle of experimental results of actual discharge time are used to create the equation by using the curve fitting technique. Finally, the obtained results can estimate the battery lifetime and identify the time which will be able to supply the battery's load if the battery is operated under any conditions. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
