    New current-controlled current-mode multifunction filter using translinear current conveyors

    A new current-mode universal biquadratic filter with two inputs and two outputs employing only two translinear current conveyors with controlled gain and two grounded capacitors is proposed. The proposed circuit offers the following features: realization of lowpass, bandpass, highpass, bandstop and allpass current responses from the same configuration, no requirements for component-matching conditions, independent current control of the natural frequency and the quality factor, low active and passive sensitivities, minimum active and passive components, high impedance output. The characteristics of the proposed circuit are simulated using PSPICE to confirm the theory. © 2008 IEEE.

    Log-domain multiphase sinusoidal oscillator

    This paper describes the design of a log-domain multiphase sinusoidal oscillator (MSO). The circuit is a direct realization of a first-order differential equation for obtaining the non-inverting and inverting lossy integrators. Each integrator comprises only a grounded capacitor and six transistors. The proposed MSO can be instantaneously controlled over wide frequency range by controlling the bias currents. The high-frequency of oscillation and oscillation condition can also be independently tuned which are indicated proposed MSO suitability in communications and high-frequency applications. The power consumption is obtained around 5.78mW at 100μA of bias current based on 2V single power supply. The oscillation frequency is controlled over four decades of frequency. The total harmonic distortion of four-phases (11.33MHz) is obtained around 1.12%. © 2011 IEEE.

    Enhancing network performance with TCP configuration

    Presently, the INTERNET network has been considerably congested due to the excessive use of the service. Because the current TCP Reno, a protocol suite in a transport layer, doesn't correlate to the use in WWW scenario, the overall performances of a network are subjected to be laborious to amend. In this paper, we propose the technique to improve the performance of the TCP in a congestion condition. By using the modification algorithm based on TCP Vegas, we could showing how control parameters of TCP Vegas should be configure for achieving better both performance and better throughput. © Springer Science+Business Media B.V. 2008.

    Minimal Realization Plus Current Output CC-based Biquad Circuit

    This paper presents a minimal design of biquad circuit using only one plus current output type-II current conveyor (CCII), one differential voltage current conveyor (DVCC) and grounded passive components. The circuit enables all 5 basic filter types, low-pass (LP), band-pass (BP), high-pass (HP), band-stop (BS) and all-pass (AP) implementation by the selection and addition of the input and output currents with no component matching constraints. Moreover, the circuit parameters $\omega$0 and Q can be set simply by adjusting the circuit components. The proposed biquad circuit performance has very low sensitivity to circuit components due to its simple structure and small number of devices (2 active and 4 grounded passive components). This allows the circuit to work at high frequencies. The performance of the proposed topology was evaluated through PSPICE simulator using the 0. 1S$\mu$m CMOS technology from the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).

    Design and implement of GPON-FTTH network for residential condominium

    This paper presents design and implement of fiber to the home (FTTH) for residential condominium based on Gigabit-capable passive optical network (GPON) ITU-T G.984 standard in order to achieve the maximum 320 subscribers and support high bandwidth for triple play service more efficiently. The proposed design complies both with power budget and rise time budget standard. Finally, the proposed design achieves the maximum 320 subscribers, average bandwidth per subscriber at 62.2 Mbps for downstream and 31.1 Mbps for upstream, power margin is above 0 and rise time budget is below 70 percent of an NRZ bit period.
