    An analysis of digital literacy skills among Thai university seniors

    Digital literacy and the associated skills are becoming the basic and essential skill set of any employer that wishes to survive in a highly competitive world.Given the global importance of these skills for many sectors including education, medicine, information technology, tourism, etc., the researchers sought to determine which digital literacy skills were most important in using digital technology, communications tools, and/or networks to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, create and communicate information in order to function in a knowledge society.From a multistage random sampling survey of 400 second semester university seniors finishing their degrees in 2014 at 9 Thai public and private universities, it was determined that the ability to evaluate was the most important skill indicator in the development of digital literacy. Analysis was conducted by use of LISREL 8.72.

    Strategies for using the satellite distance education system in Thailand that affect student quality of marginal schools in the lower north region

    Few remote schools in Thailand use distance education systems. The strategy, namely, basic operation, administrative action, and teacher actions, has established. Analysis of the strategy that affects the quality of students is applying linear multiple regression analysis shows the basic operation strategies able to predict the student's quality in the test by 36.90 percent and necessary competencies of learners such as a skill in the 21st century 57.90 percent-the remote schools in other countries with a similar Thailand context able to adapt the strategy.

    Appropriate Thai high school student internet behaviour: A hierarchical linear model analysis

    The research used a hierarchical linear model to develop a model to study the variables of appropriate Internet use of 2,400 Thai high school students from 48 high schools. Furthermore, the groups were divided into one group of 1,200 students in science related programs, while the second group of 1,200 students were in a non-science related program. The data collection instrument was a reliability questionnaire which was determined to range between 0.75-0.97. Data were analysed using statistical averages, standard deviation, and analysis of hierarchical linear models (HLM). The research found that Thai high school students have appropriate Internet use behaviour at a very appropriate level, while the HLM of appropriate Internet use behaviour of students contained two predictive variables at both the student level and school level. These included the four student predictive variables of ability, characteristic, family, and student grade point average (GPA). At the school level in the HLM, there were two predictor variables including friends and schools, which had a direct influence and an indirect influence, respectively. There were also six capacity variables having both positive influence and statistical significance.

    Structural equation model of the adoption of ozone generator technology by thai industries

    Ozone is second only to fluorine as the most powerful oxidant in the world. It's the most powerful, natural air and water sanitizer readily available and can break down chemicals into their basic naturally-occurring component parts. The objectives of this study were therefore, to test a model of technology adoption used in the ozone generator industry in Thailand. Self-reporting questionnaires were retrieved from 500 production and engineering managers in both central and eastern Thailand enterprises from a total of 3,000 distributed. The research framework integrates Corporate Vision, Awareness, Interest, Evaluation and Trial to hypothesize a theoretical model to explain and predict adoption of ozone generator technology. All latent variables in the model have a positive influence on the adoption of Thai ozone generator technology. The model furthermore consisted of 18 observed variables with a variable latency of 6 variables which had a positive influence on the adoption of ozone generator technology. The final structural model was verified to achieve a good fit with the empirical data at 65% because of the decision to use new products in ozone generator technology. Using LISREL 8.72 Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the results showed that that the variables that influence technology use the most are Adoption, followed by Interest and Evaluation, followed by Trial, Awareness and Corporate Vision having the effects of 0.73, 0.53, 0.42, 0.31 and 0.23, respectively.

    Promotion behavior for ecotourism of sub-district administration organization member in Thailand

    The research objective was to study and compare promotion behavior for ecotourism of Sub-district Administration Organization (SAO) according to variables of sex, age, education level, family status and tourism. The multi-stage random sampling technique was used for data collecting for 800 SAO members from overall country. The reliability of promotion and conservation of tourism site and regulation control were 0.79 and 0.84 respectively. Data analysis was done with the descriptive statistics of percentage, mean, standard deviation, and inferential statistics with t-test. The results revealed that SAO member had promotion behavior for ecotourism in holistic view at rather high level. The SAO member with different age had different whole promotion behavior for ecotourism with statistically significant at level of 0.05. SAO member with different sex, age had different promotion and conservation of tourism site aspect with statistically significant at level of 0.05, 0.05 and 0.05 respectively. Moreover, SAO member with different education level and family economic status had different regulation control behavior with statistically significant at level of 0.05 and 0.05.

    Confirmatory factor analysis of the essential digital competencies for undergraduate students in thai higher education institutions

    The purpose of this descriptive study was to apply 2<sup>nd</sup> order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural relationship models to identify the digital competency components essential to undergraduate students in Thai higher education institutions. The sample comprised 1,126 specialists in Information Technology, Computer Technology, Computer Education, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering working in public higher education instructions throughout the country. The selection was the result of multi-stage random sampling from 76 public higher education instructions that offer undergraduate education. The instrument was a questionnaire form on essential digital competency components for undergraduate students in higher education institutions. The question items employed a 7-point Likert scale and showed Cronbach's alpha values for the content validity and reliability at a range of.93-.97 per domain and .87-.99 per component. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics for general data and 2<sup>nd</sup> Order CFA analysis. The findings revealed that from 24 observed variables, there were 7 competency components.: 1) Fundamental of digital; 2) Accessing digital information; 3) Using digital information; 4) Creating digital information and media; 5) Communicating digital information; 6) Managing digital information; and 7) Evaluating digital information. The discovery from this study was substantially constructive for Thai higher education institutions as it could be used to design an essential digital competency framework of the 21st century.

    Causal relationship model of Thai student energy conservation behaviour

    Research has proven that studying the behavior of electric energy use and conservation of university students can be a powerful predictor of future energy trends and potential problems/solutions in a nation's energy requirements as education plays a strategic role in improving energy efficiency. Therefore, a causal relationship model of Thai undergraduate student energy conservation behavior was developed in 2013 from a 15 campus survey of 1, 200 undergraduate students. The instrument used for questionnaire analysis was a 5-level agreement rating scale, whose reliability was determined to range between 0.70-0.94 while construct reliability was found to be between 0.64-0.90. LISREL 9.10 analysis of undergraduate student psychological traits, situations and psychological-situational factors determined the total influences of these factors to be 0.51, 0.23 and 0.08 respectively. Additionally, the independent variables accounted for 40% of the total variance in energy conservation behavior of students.

    Cultural skills of industrial students at vocational certificate level

    This research were to study and compare: 1) the cultural skills of industrial students, classified by educational level, and 2) the construct validity of the cultural skills of industrial students. The results showed that: 1) industrial students have overall cultural skills at a good level, and industrial students who differed in educational levels have different overall cultural skills, with statistical significance at the level of 0.05, and 2) the model of cultural skills of industrial students has construct validity.
