Item type:Publication, 0.5-V High Linear Fully Differential Multiple-Input Bulk-Driven OTA With Effective Self-Embedded CMFB(2024-01-01) ;Khateb, Fabian ;Kulej, Tomasz; This paper presents a new fully differential multiple-input operational transconductance amplifier (FD MI-OTA) with an effective self-embedded common-mode feedback circuit (CMFB). The circuit employs several design techniques to extend the linearity to the rail-to-rail level, such as a bulk-driven, multiple-input capacitive voltage divider and source degeneration. The circuit uses self-cascode transistors to increase the gain of the OTA from one side and to create a common-mode feedback circuit, needed to control the common-mode output voltage from the other side. Thus, the CMFB is part of the OTA and as a result, its chip area and power consumption remain unchanged. The performance of the proposed circuit was simulated using TSMC s CMOS 0.18 μ m process in the Cadence Virtuoso System Design Platform to validate the performance of the topology. Intensive simulation results based on Monte Carlo and process, voltage, temperature corners were performed to confirm the OTA's performance and the robustness of the CMFB. The circuit operates with a supply voltage of 0.5 V and consumes 17.5nW of power, making it suitable for applications with extremely low voltage supply and low frequency. As an application, a second-order low-pass filter was designed based on the proposed FD MI-OTA. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The proposed circuit offers the following attractive features: realisation of low-pass, band-pass, high-pass, band-stop and all-pass current responses from the same configuration; employment of the minimum active and passive components; no requirement of component matching conditions; independent current-control of the parameters natural frequency (wo) and quality factor (Q); low active and passive sensitivities; and high impedance output. The characteristics of the proposed circuit are simulated using PSPICE to confirm the theory. © 2010 Taylor & Francis. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Current-mode universal filter and quadrature oscillator using current controlled current follower transconductance amplifiers(2019-08-15); Khateb, FabianThis paper presents a new current-mode quadrature oscillator and universal filter that employs two current controlled current follower transconductance amplifiers and two grounded capacitors. The proposed circuit can be realized either as a quadrature oscillator or as a universal filter without changing circuit topology. In case the circuit works as a quadrature oscillator, the condition and the frequency of oscillation can be independently and electronically controlled. Four-phase quadrature current outputs and two-phase quadrature voltage outputs can also be obtained. In case the circuit works as a universal filter, low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-stop and all-pass filtering functions can be obtained simultaneously by appropriately selecting the input and output signals. The natural frequency and the quality factor of filter can also be obtained independently and electronically. PSPICE simulation results are used to verify the workability of the new topology. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, ECCCII-based current-mode universal filter with orthogonal control of ωo and Q(2014-01-01); ;Khateb, Fabian; ; Junnapiya, SomyotThis paper presents a new current-mode current- controlled four-input five-output universal filter employing one current-controlled current conveyor (CCCII), one electronically tunable CCCII and two grounded capacitors. The proposed configuration provides lowpass, bandpass, highpass, bandstop and allpass current responses that taken from the high-output impedance terminals, which enable easy cascadability of the current-mode operation. The filter also offers both orthogonal and electronic controls of the natural frequency and the quality factor through adjusting the bias current of the CCCIIs. For realizing all the filter responses, the proposed filter does not require passive component-matching condition and both active and passive sensitivities are low. In addition, a new current-mode current-controlled single-input five-output universal filter can be achieved by using an additional multiple-output minus-type CCCII. The proposed filter is simulated using PSPICE simulations to confirm the theoretical analysis. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Four-input one-output voltage-mode universal filter using simple OTAs(2019-05-01); ;Suksaibul, PichaiKhateb, FabianThis paper presents a new electronically tunable voltage-mode universal filter with four-input one-output employing six simple operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs), two grounded capacitors and two MOS resistors. The voltage-mode filter offers the features of high-input impedance and low active and passive sensitivities. The characteristics of the proposed universal filter are verified using PSPICE simulators through 0.35μm CMOS process. Experimental results are used to confirm the workability of proposed circuit through LM13600 commercially available OTAs. Item type:Publication, Programmable Universal Filter and Quadrature Oscillator Using Single Output Operational Transconductance Amplifiers(2021-01-01) ;Knobnob, Boonying ;Torteanchai, UsaThis paper presents a new programmable universal filter and quadrature oscillator based on the single output operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs). The proposed universal filter and quadrature oscillator can be achieved into single topology by programming analog switches. When the circuit performs as a universal filter, it can realize low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-stop and all-pass filters with orthogonal and electronic controls of the natural frequency and quality factor. When the circuit performs as a quadrature oscillator, it provides a three-phase quadrature output signal which the condition and frequency of oscillations can be controlled orthogonally and electronically. The proposed structure can be realized based on the single output OTAs which are easily implemented as both commercially available integrated circuits (ICs) as OTAs and complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) OTAs as IC forms. SPICE simulation using standard 0.18 µm CMOS process is used for investigating the performance of the proposed circuit whereas the workability of new circuit is confirmed by LM13600 discrete-component integrated circuits as OTAs.
