Item type:Publication, Project-Driven Flipped Classroom Develop Digital Competences in Preschool Education Students(2024-01-01) ;Lu, Lingming; Digital competency is one of the most important competencies for normal university students in the digital age. It will have a direct impact on the next generation they teach. At present, there are still some problems in the teaching content and teaching model. This study implements a project-driven flipped classroom teaching model for students by redesigning and developing a modern educational technology curriculum. 144 students participated in the experiment. Self-assessment was conducted in accordance with the ICT Teaching Competency Standards for Pre-service Teachers. The results show that project-driven flipped classroom solves the problem of learners' motivation. It can effectively improve the problems such as students cannot learn continuously, learn fragmented knowledge, and are easy to forget. At the same time, this study also points out flipped classroom requires university students have a certain level of self-management and self-learning ability. It is suitable for learning practical and operable knowledge and skills. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Application of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) to Enhance English Listening Skill for Undergraduate Chinese Student(2025-01-01) ;Chu, Weifang ;Khwankaew, Apichaya ;Zhao, Shujuan ;Ye, ChuanjianThis research aims to develop a GenAI learning activity for English news listening proficiency based on the ADDIE model and to study the effectiveness of the GenAI learning activity on English news listening proficiency for 42 first-year undergraduates of Chuxiong Normal University. This study followed the five steps of the ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The result of the students demonstrating significant improvement in their English listening proficiency, evidenced by the increase in post-test mean scores, was substantial (p < 0.05). Moreover, our learning activity is designed for students to effectively use GenAI to generate pictures, helping them better understand news content and vocabulary in various contexts. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The effects of embedded scaffolding strategy in a cognitive flexibility-based computer learning environment(2002-01-01)The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of embedded scaffolding strategy on knowledge acquisition in a cognitive flexibility hypertext (CFH) environment. Two types of cognitive flexibility hypertext, one with an embedded scaffolding strategy and one without, were implemented. The dependent variables were: (1) the subjects' achievement from the posttest scores; and (2) the amount of time spent in the CFH program. The participants were sixty-six Thai graduate students from three universities. Results indicated that there were no significant differences in achievement scores between the two groups of subjects from different CFH programs: however, significant differences in achievement scores were found among subjects from different schools. In addition, subjects who possessed different levels of experience in hypertext environment did not demonstrate significant improvement in post-test scores. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Blended Learning Needs Analysis of Students in the SPOC Era: Local University Perspective in China(2025-01-01) ;Lu, Lingming; With the development of the new generation of information technology, blended learning has entered the SPOC era, teachers and students can become the designers of the blended course. This also places higher demands on teachers and students' digital competence. Learning needs analysis is the most important step in SPOC-based blended learning. This article takes local university students in China as the survey object, and conducts a questionnaire survey on four aspects: individual learning aspirations, learning process needs, learning environment needs and learning ability gaps. The results show that today's university students have a strong willingness to blended learning, the demand for teaching resources is diversified, the learning process fails to fully give full play to the advantages of blended learning, the teaching evaluation needs to be reformed, and the gap between individuals is large. The study suggests that the current blended teaching should build high-quality learning resources, strengthen the interaction between online and offline teaching, pay more attention to the process and diversity evaluation of students. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Smart Scenic Area Construction Framework for Meeting Demands of Multiple Interests Based on Global Tourism Architecture: An Approach to Educating Smart Scenic Area Construction Framework(2020-12-01) ;Song, LeiTourism needs to follow latest technology, such as AI, to be competitive. Education on smart scenic area construction is much updating. This research used questionnaires and statistical analysis to classify the key five types of core stakeholders and interest claims in smart scenic areas. Based on analysis result, the author built a smart global tourism scenic architecture model and proposed a test standard which met the construction requirements of smart tourism scenic and global tourism scenic and was easy to connect the construction of smart cities and smart earth. To meet needs of tourists' location services and make the system usable, the paper educated people to use Beidou, 4G, Wi-Fi positioning methods including 2 parts to build a unified comprehensive location service agreement based on multi-source location data. Future research and new way to help people on impact of the coordination function for multiple departments in the same scenic spot.
