    This paper present evaporative estimation of water using data fusion technique. There are many factors in evaporative locating process that provided for consideration together. So this paper will be study about factors with concerning in meteorology that influential to evaporation and explained about relation of these factors by statistical method. The used data obtained from Thai Meteorological Department which collects daily data for the environment with various sensors. The results of data fusion process will be shown value of daily evaporation that provided to comparing between the evaporative value of pan evaporation and calculated by hydrology formula. © 2008 SICE.

    This paper presents the design of Fuzzy PID controller based on ARM7TDMI for coupled-tanks process. The research is developed from previous studying of modified quadrupled-tanks process in the case of non-interacting second order process. The PID controller is designed by root locus technique, then it is improved a performance by combining with Fuzzy inference system for desired output response specification. Furthermore, PID Fuzzy inference system has been approximated into lookup table scheme for properly running on ARM7 embedded system. With the proposed method, the efficiency control algorithm can be performed on ARM7 platform that has a good performance and affordable costs. The experimental results have been shown that the design of Fuzzy PID embedded controller can achieve the performance specification requirement in level control. © 2012 ICROS.

    Event-Based LQR Control for Rotary Inverted Pendulum Using Wireless Networked Control System

    Wireless communication introduces delays, packet losses, and data uncertainties, which can degrade the control's performance. To address these challenges, this paper presents an event-based Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) control approach for a rotary inverted pendulum system utilizing a Wireless Networked Control System (WNCS). To facilitate the control process, a WNCS is employed to transmit data between the rotary inverted pendulum and the controller via WiFi, a wireless network executing in the CYW43439 wireless chip of the Raspberry Pi Pico W development board. The wireless node consists of a sensor node, actuator node, access point node, and controller node, which transmit and receive data via the TCP/IP communication protocol. The event-triggering mechanism is integrated into the control loop. It allows the control algorithm to adaptively adjust the control update rate based on the system's dynamics and network conditions, ensuring efficient utilization of network resources while maintaining satisfactory control performance. The experimental results of hardware in the loop (HIL) in the MATLAB/Simulink real-time kernel show that the proposed event-based LQR control strategy can achieve balancing and improve resilience to network-induced disturbances, making it suitable for real-world applications where wireless network constraints are prevalent.

    Multi level contract net protocol based on holonic manufacturing system implement to industrial networks

    This paper presents a flexible manufacturing system (FMS) that cooperated the holonic manufacturing system (HMS) with automatic material handling devices via industrial networks. The HMS is described as an intelligent manufacturing system that employs multi-agent system with negotiation protocols. The traditional HMS's negotiation protocol usually used the contract net protocol (CPN) and multi-level contract net protocol (MCPN). This paper develops a cooperative system that applies the concept of HMS to implement a distributed control system for automatic warehouse and FMS. Results from simulation indicated that our approach is able to improve the overall system flexibility. The system is able to reconfigure the re-order points, increase the system fault tolerances, and provides the dynamic rescheduling.

    Design of PID controller for the modified quadruple-tank process using inverted decoupling technique

    This paper presents the approach to design PID controller for a modified quadruple-tank process using inverted decoupling technique. In case of non-minimum phase, TITO system, such as modified quadruple-tank process which can't be controlled by PID controller with standard decoupling technique because the system can't be stabled by saturating manipulate signal. With the proposed method, The inverted decoupling controllers, decreasing the cross coupling between inputs and outputs, transform TITO plant transfer function model into SISO form so that SISO controller for each SISO model can be designed by Root Locus Technique easily and efficiently. PID controller with inverted decoupling can stabilize an unstable non-minimum-phase system and minimize several undesirable influences from an interaction in TITO process. The results from control system design can be illustrated by the experiments. © 2011 ICROS.

    In a robot control system, the process of data reading affects the consumed time which will directly affect to the time is used in this system. The more channels exist, the more time will be consumed in the robot control system. This work presents the application of parallel reading in the wireless receiver with eight channels for robot semi-automatic control. The software presented in this work was intentionally written as a standard library for Arduino which can read both in sequence and parallel. Obviously the result shows that the all of eight channels, the parallel reading in this work consumed the reading time less than the sequence reading, which decreased the time consumed in the reading process. It affects to improve the sensitivity of remote robot control.

    This paper presents the method to achieve the design MRAC PID control for fan and plate process. The fan and plate process is another challenged problem for control system design because it has non-linearity characteristic and highly sensitivity for ambient disturbance. Thus tuning of PID parameter performs hardly by root locus or trial & error method. The proposed method presents design methodology of auto-adjustable PID controller using MRAC technique for solving the problems. The adjustable PID parameters corresponding to changes in plant and disturbance will be determined by referring to the reference model specifying the properties of desired control system. Therefore, this technique is convenient to control the process for satisfying the requirement of the system performance. © 2011 SICE.

    The design of robust PID control for fan and plate process

    This paper presents the method to achieve the characteristic equation of the Fan and Plate process by using Integral Step Response (ISR) and the controller of this plant is PID controller that designed by Root Locus Method. Since the fan and plate process is highly nonlinear model, it is interested to study the controller design. The plate angular position is actuated by the wind from the fan which is controlled by a DC-Motor. The angular position can be measured by a potentiometer which employed electrical signal via voltage divider circuit in order to be the feed back signal to the control loop. The characteristic equation and the parameter of controller can be obtained by MATLAB program.

    The typical coupled-tanks process that is TITO plant has the difficulty in controller design because changing of system dynamics and interacting of process. This paper presents design methodology of auto-adjustable PI controller using MRAC technique. The proposed method can adjust the controller parameters in response to changes in plant and disturbance real time by referring to the reference model that specifies properties of the desired control system. ©ICROS.

    To prevent striking of head to disc in servo track writing process, head velocity is controlled by ramp loading procedure for moving read/write head from ramp to disc surface properly. The author presents the approach to design load/unload algorithm for 2.5'' hard disk drive in SSTW process. The 2 Degree of Freedom PID Control Structure has been applied instead of conventional PID for VCM velocity control. Furthermore; we use Characteristic Ratio Assignment Technique for adjusting PID parameters in order to obtain less overshoot in output response. The experimental results tested with self-servo track writer PH4LC unit have been shown that 2DOF PID algorithm can achieve the performance specification requirement and reducing HDI problem in load/unload control of 2.5'' hard disk drive, efficiently. © 2012 IEEE.
