Item type:Publication, Effects of Ag-doped Content on Antimicrobial Activity and Substrate Color of Chromium Thin Films Deposited by DC Magnetron Sputtering(2024-10-26) ;Thanasriswad, Pawarun; ; Silver ions (Ag+) show promise as excellent antimicrobial agents to inhibit microbial growth on high-touch surfaces. In this study, Ag-doped Cr films were deposited using a DC magnetron sputtering system from a mosaic target. The Cr-Ag mosaic target was a 0.125-inch-thick Cr base (99.95% pure) with different diameters of Ag circle sheets mounted on the Cr target. The sputtering condition was kept at a DC power of 100W, working pressure of 8.3x10-3 mbar with Ar as the sputtering gas, and sputtering times of 15 and 30 min. The antimicrobial activity and efficiency were determined by standard testing (JIS Z 2801: 2000). The antibacterial performance was calculated from the antibacterial inhibition of the Ag-doped Cr films in bacterial solution (Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli) after 24 h. The results showed that the Ag content was between 0.27 at% and 6.11 at% depending on the diameter of Ag and the deposition time. The minimum Ag content of 4.05 at% had an inhibition efficiency of 99.98% (E. coli) and 96.33% (S. aureus). The contact angle testing of Ag-doped Cr films showed hydrophobic behavior with the angle greater than 90 degrees. The optical color of the Ag-doped films was characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy (CIE testing). The film colors were significantly changed by the addition of Ag into the Cr films. The total color difference (∆E) increased by 3-10 units compared to the reference chromium film and the Ag doping mainly affected +L* (Lightness).2 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Smart Wheelchiar for Disabled Person(2023-01-01) ;Jaturat, Nutt ;Dissorn, PunNowadays, people suffer from a variety of illnesses related to the body, including those that affect the lower body and make it difficult or impossible for patients to walk. The main goal of a wheelchair is to transport patients who cannot walk to their desired destination, either by themselves or with the help of a caregiver. The project's objective was to develop an effective solution for patients who are unable to operate the joystick on electronic wheelchairs. The smart wheelchair would be beneficial for patients who primarily reside in their rooms. This smart wheelchair will create a map of the room, allowing the patient to navigate it easily using only one finger to control it by simply clicking on the pre-created map. This project developed an electronic wheelchair that could be controlled and driven autonomously using a ROS (Robot Operating System) platform. Additionally, it utilized the SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) method, which enables the construction of a map of an unknown environment while simultaneously localizing the wheelchair for navigation purposes. To assess the accuracy of map creation in an unknown environment, calibration was performed with and without loading weight to measure the distance and angle of the wheelchair's movement. The results of this project show that the developed electronic wheelchair successfully builds a map of an unknown environment and utilizes this map for navigation. Users can simply click on their desired destination on the map, and the wheelchair will autonomously navigate towards it. Moreover, the wheelchair can avoid obstacles while navigating. Although the smart wheelchair can perform well, there are some limitations due to the RPLidar. The RPLidar detects everything on the ground in parallel when creating the map and while navigating. Therefore, if any object is located below the RPLidar, it may not be able to detect it. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The Closed Loop Controller for Mini Demo Biomass Power Plant Fuel-Feeding Arm based Pneumatic System(2021-04-01)This paper shows the establishment of a mini demo Biomass power plant fuel-feeding arm with controller, motor and pneumatics system to study how to control arm for picking and placing of fuel operation properly. The arm mechanical elements, control driver circuit and electrical components were designed, built and selected follows the real Biomass power plant fuel-feeding arm. Low level PID controller, proportional pneumatics valve and motor with encoder are utilized for defining the correct close loop position of mini demo arm. Moreover, this system is designed to plug with the Robot operating system (ROS) the easy robotics motion control system which use to calculate the desired position before sending to the robot arm close loop system. The results show the effectiveness of the established mini demo Biomass arm can archive the correct position even controlled by nonlinear air flow system. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Fully autonomous drug and food delivery robot for hospital and patient care logistic management based on artificial intelligence(2020-08-31) ;Opha, Antica Eam ;Titaviriya, SittikornWe developed a fully autonomous drug and food delivery robot for hospital and patient care logistic management based on an artificial intelligence. This robot will act as an intermediary in delivering food, medicine, and medical supplies among the departments themselves or departments and patients, which will be controlled via a very intuitive software that enables navigation technology with intelligent coordinate systems by simulating the use area as a map to control the movement of the robot. The intelligent coordinate navigation technology for this robot will be integrated with a depth camera, and a LIDAR sensor operating on an robot operating system melodic for Simultaneous Localization and Mapping allowing robots to recognize objects or people in the environment. Item type:Publication, Asynchronous deep reinforcement learning for the mobile robot navigation with supervised auxiliary tasks(2017-07-02) ;Tongloy, T.; ; ;Chousangsuntorn, C.In this paper, we present the method based on asynchronous deep reinforcement learning adapted for the mobile robot navigation with supervised auxiliary tasks. We apply the hybrid Asynchronous Advantage Actor-Critic (A3C) algorithm CPU/GPU based on TensorFlow. The mobile robot is simulated as the navigation tasks on the OpenAI-Gym-Gazebo-based environment with the collaboration with ROS Multimaster. The supervised auxiliary tasks include the depth predictions and the robot position estimation. The simulated mobile robot shows the capability to learn to navigate only the input from raw RGB-image and also perform recognition of the place on the map. We also show that the combination of all possible auxiliary tasks leads to the different learning rate.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
