Item type:Publication, Tunable Floating Capacitance Multiplier Using Single Fully Balanced Voltage Differencing Buffered Amplifier(2019-08-01); Channumsin, O.Abstract: An alternative circuit configuration for realizing an electronically adjustable floating capacitance multiplier is presented in this article. By consisting of only one fully balanced-voltage differencing buffered amplifier (FB-VDBA), one resistor and one capacitor, the presented multiplier circuit is canonical structure, and does not require any critical element matching constrain. The equivalent value of the simulated capacitance is adjustable by tuning the bias current of the FB-VDBA. The effect of the FB-VDBA non-idealities on the realized capacitance has been considered in detail. The proposed floating capacitance multiplier has been utilized, as an example application, in the design of a second-order RLC band-pass filter. To support the theory, some computer simulations with PSPICE software are also reported. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Actively Floating Lossy Inductance Simulators Using Voltage Differencing Buffered Amplifiers(2019-07-04)Two simple topologies for the simulation of floating lossy inductances are presented, which realize series and parallel RL impedances employing two voltage differencing buffered amplifiers (VDBAs) as active components. Each of the proposed circuit topologies consists of one resistor and one capacitor, which employs canonical passive components. The equivalent values of the simulated resistance and inductance can be tuned electronically by means of the external biasing currents of the VDBAs. Non-ideal gain effects of the VDBA on the proposed circuits are carried out. The performance of the proposed floating inductors is demonstrated on both a standard second-order RLC low-pass filter and a parallel resonant circuit. Laboratory experiments using commercially available ICs are included to verify the workability of the circuits. Several computer simulations with PSPICE program are also drawn together with theoretical ones for circuit performance verification. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, SITO-Type high-input impedance voltage-mode multifunction filter using single active element(2019-07-01) ;Channumsin, OrapinThis paper deals with a voltage-mode multifunction filter using only single newly defined active element labeled as voltage differencing gain amplifier (VDGA), and four passive elements. The presented circuit has one input and three outputs, and can realize highpass, bandpass and lowpass biquadratic filtering functions simultaneously without altering the circuit topology. Apart from these characteristics, the circuit also exhibits the desirable features such as high impedance for the input voltage signal and orthogonal adjustment of the natural angular frequency and the quality factor, and low sensitivity performance. The filter exhibits high-input impedance terminal. The operation of the proposed filter is evaluated through simulation results based on 0.25μm CMOS technology from TSMC. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, CMOS Voltage differencing transconductance amplifier with linearly adjustable transconductance gains(2019-07-01); ;Mongkolwai, Pratya; In this work, a circuit configuration for the realization the CMOS voltage differencing transconductance amplifier (VDTA) with linear tunable transconductance and wide-input dynamic range is introduced. The circuit design technique is achieved by squaring the long-tail bias current of the differential-input voltage-to-current converter circuit. In addition, the linearity region of the input signal is also improved by using source degeneration technique. The workability of the proposed linearly tunable VDTA has been shown on the construction of the electronically controllable first-order allpass filter circuit. The proposed circuit and its application are investigated and simulated with PSPICE software using TSMC 0.25μm CMOS technology. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Triple-input single-output electronically controlled voltage-mode biquadratic filter(2019-07-01); ;Dumawipata, TeerasilapaThis article presents the possibility of realizing a voltage-mode biquadratic filter having with three input terminals and single output terminal. The circuit employing only two voltage differencing gain amplifiers (VDGAs) together with two capacitors can realize all the five standard biquadratic filter functions at a single low-impedance-output terminal. It also provides orthogonal current tuning of the natural angular frequency (ω<inf>o</inf>) and the quality factor (Q), and has low active and passive element sensitivities. To confirm the theory, simulation results using PSPICE software are accomplished. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Simple current-controlled VDTA-R schmitt trigger circuit(2019-07-01); ;Unhavanich, SumaleeA simple current-controlled Schmitt trigger circuit employing single voltage differencing transconductance amplifier (VDTA) and only two grounded resistors is presented. The proposed Schmitt trigger circuit offers independent electronic adjustability of its threshold voltage levels and output voltage amplitudes by the help of corresponding VDTA bias currents. In addition, both clockwise and counter-clockwise hystereses are also achievable. To justify the theoretical predictions, the verification of the proposed Schmitt trigger circuit is performed by PSPICE simulation software using TSMC 0.25μm CMOS technology.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Linearly Tunable CMOS Voltage Differencing Transconductance Amplifier (VDTA)(2019-06-01)This paper proposes an alternative way to implement a linearly tunable CMOS voltage differencing transconductance amplifier (VDTA). It has been designed by using the floating current source (FCS) and the current squaring circuit. The circuit achieves its linear tunability by squaring the long-tail biasing current of the FCS. In this way, the transconductance gains of the proposed CMOS VDTA can be varied linearly through adjusting the DC bias currents. As an application example, the proposed VDTA is used in the design of an actively tunable voltage-mode multifunction filter. The derived filter possesses the following desirable properties: simultaneous realization of three standard filter functions; employment of only two grounded capacitors; and electronic tunability of the natural angular frequency and the quality factor. The performance of the proposed circuit and its filter design application were examined by PSPICE simulations with TSMC 0.25-mm CMOS real process technology. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Electronically tunable floating lossy series-type inductance simulator using VDBAs(2019-03-16) ;Channumsin, Orapin; This study demonstrates a resistorless floating lossy series RL-type inductor circuit utilizing voltage differencing buffered amplifiers (VDBAs) as active elements. The proposed lossy inductance simulator employs a canonical number of active and passive components, namely two VDBAs and only a grounded capacitor. It also realizes transconductance-tunable inductance value without needing any cancellation or element-matching constraints. As an illustrative application, the proposed floating inductor is used to construct a second-order lowpass filter practically. Computer simulation results with the real process 0.25-µm CMOS technology are used to confirm the workability of the proposed circuit and its application. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
