Item type:Publication, Effect of Pb(Ni1/2W1/2)O3 on the phase transition behavior of PbZrO3 ceramic(2013-01-01); ; ; ;Niemcharoen, SurasakKarbkaew, AmornthepSolid solution of (1-x)PbZrO<inf>3</inf>-xPb(Ni<inf>1/2</inf>W <inf>1/2</inf>)O<inf>3</inf>;(1-x)PZ-xPNW ceramics, where x = 0.02-0.10, were prepared by solid state reaction. Dense (1-x)PZ - xPNW ceramics were obtained by sintering at 1,100?C for 4 h. Effect of PNW on crystal structure, phase transitions and thermal and electrical properties was investigated using X-ray diffraction, dielectric spectroscopy, hysteresis measurement and differential scanning calorimetry. The results indicated that the solubility limit of the (1-x)PZ-xPNW system was found at x = 0.04. It was proved that the intermediate phase is an antiferroelectric in the PZ-PNW system. Stability of the AFE intermediate phase was seen to improve with increasing PNW content. Copyright © 2013 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Synthesis and phase evolution of electrospun antiferroelectric lead zirconate (PbZrO3) nanofibers(2012-08-01) ;Nawanil, Chanisa; ; ; Lead zirconate (PbZrO<inf>3</inf>; PZO) fibers were synthesized by the electrospinning method using a solution that contained 5 wt% poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) in ethanol and a sol-gel solution of PZO. Some parameters varied, for example, the ratio between PEO and PZO, concentrations of the precursor solution, flow rate, and calcination temperature. The as-spun and calcined PZO/PEO composite fibers were characterized by TG-DTA, X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, SEM and TEM. PZO fibers were obtained successfully with a well-developed perovskite structure after as-spun PZO/PEO composite fibers were calcined using the PZO/PEO volume ratio of 10:3 at a PZO concentration of 1.0 M at 650 °C for 4 h. Stable nanofibers were produced with an average diameter of 300 ± 64 nm. Additionally, the PZO fibers showed a Curie temperature that rose by nearly 13 °C, when comparing with a normal PZO particle. © 2012 Elsevier B.V. Item type:Publication, Hysteresis response of lead zirconate - lead nickel niobate ferroelectric ceramic under compressive stress(2009-12-01) ;Vittayakorn, W. C.In this work, PZ-PNN ceramic was prepared by a columbite method and sintered at optimum temperature. The effect of uniaxial compressive stress on the hysteresis properties of PZ-PNN ceramics is investigated. The hysteresis loop and ferroelectric properties under the compressive stress of the ceramics are observed at stress up to 100 MPa using a compressometer in conjunction with a modified Sawyer-Tower circuit. The results show that the applied stress has a significant influence on the hysteresis of PZ-PNN ceramics. The ferroelectric characteristics, i.e. the area of loops, Ps and Pr decrease with increasing compressive stress. Item type:Publication, Synthesis, crystal structures, phase transition characterization and thermal properties of the (1-x)PbZrO3-xPb(Co1/3Nb 2/3)O3 solid solution system(2008-12-01) ;Banlue, W.; ;Vittayakorn, W. C.Vittayakom, N.The phase transition behavior of the (1-x) PbZrO<inf>3</inf>-xPb(Co <inf>1/3</inf>Nb<inf>2/3</inf>)O<inf>3</inf> (PZCN) solid solution system (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.30) has been investigated by X-ray diffraction and DSC. In the solid solution, for x ≤ 0.20, the transition shows a first-order phase transition behavior and its antiferroelectric (AFE) crystal structure is orthorhombic. The transition temperature gradually decreases with increased Co2+/Nb5+ concentration. On the composition range 0.20 ≤x≤ 0.30, a typical relaxor-like behavior is displayed. The low temperature crystal structure is pseudo-cubic in this composition range. With these data, the ferroelectric phase diagram between PZ and PCoN has been established. © 2008 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Effect of lead nickel niobate substitution on phase transitions of lead zirconate ceramics prepared by the solid state reaction method(2008-01-01); ;Laoratanakul, P.The solid solution between the antiferroelectric, PbZrO<inf>3</inf> (PZ), and relaxor ferroelectric, Pb(Ni<inf>1/3</inf>Nb<inf>2/3</inf>)O<inf>3</inf> (PNN), was synthesized by the columbite method. The phase structure and phase transition of Pb(Zn<inf>1-X</inf>(Ni<inf>1/3</inf>Nb<inf>2/3</inf>) <inf>x</inf>O<inf>3</inf> (PZNN), where x = 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.50, were investigated. The samples were kept at the calcination temperature of 900°C for 4 h and at the sintering temperature of 1,150°C for 2 h. Phase formation and phase transition of PZNN were investigated by x-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermal analysis, respectively. It was found that the structure of sintered pellets is orthorhombic for 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.10, rhombohedral for 0.20 ≤ x ≤ 0.30 and pseudo-cubic for x = 0.5. DSC measurement shows that in the antiferroelectric (AFE) phase - ferroelectric (FE) phase and FE to paraelectric (PE) phase; phase transformation temperatures decrease with increasing PNN concentration. The AFE-FE phase transformation was detected for compositions 0.00 ≤x≤ 0.08. © 2008 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Perovskite phase formation, phase transformations and electrical properties of lead-nickel niobate - Lead zirconate ceramics(2007-12-01); ; ;Trisak, Sakda; Niemcharoem, SusasakThe perovskite structure of lead zirconatelead nickel niobate ceramics, (1-x)PbZrO3-xPb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PZ - PNN) with x = 0.0-0.5, were synthesized via the columbite precursor method. The formation of the perovskite phase in the calcined powders has been investigated as a function of calcination conditions by TG-DTA and XRD techniques. The complete solid solutions of perovskite phase of PZ-PNN ceramics were obtained over a wide compositional range. The results showed that the concentration of the PNN phase increased the calcination temperature must be increased in order to obtain phase-pure perovskite. In addition, x-ray diffraction indicated a phase transformation from a orthorhombic to a pseudo-cubic phase when the fraction of PNN was increased. A higher relative permittivity value, as a consequence of the higher PNN concentration, was observed.1
