Item type:Publication, Minimum-component current-mode universal filter(2011-02-01); Channumsin, OrapinThis paper describes a current controllable current-mode universal filter with three inputs and one output using multi-output current-controlled current conveyors (MOCCCIIs). The proposed circuit consists of the minimum number of active and passive components, i.e. two MOCCCIIs and two grounded capacitors; simultaneous realization of all the standard filtering functions; independent current-control of the natural angular frequency (ω0) and bandwidth (BW); no requirement of component matching conditions; and low passive and active sensitivities. Item type:Publication, Compact VDTA-based current-mode electronically tunable universal filters using grounded capacitors(2014-01-01) ;Satansup, JetsdapornThis paper presents a compact current-mode three-input single-output (TISO) type universal filter. Only one voltage differencing transconductance amplifier (VDTA) and two grounded capacitors are employed in the proposed filter. The circuit can realize lowpass, bandpass, highpass, bandstop and allpass biquadratic filter outputs by connecting the appropriate inputs, and offers electronic control of the natural angular frequency (ω<inf>0</inf>) and quality factor (Q) by means of adjusting the transconductance gain of the VDTA. In addition, by slight modification of the proposed scheme, another more useful TISO construction with orthogonal ω<inf>0</inf>-Q tuning has been obtained. Both the discussed universal filters have been shown to have low incremental active and passive sensitivities. Item type:Publication, Voltage-mode universal filter with one input and five outputs using DDCCTAs and all-grounded passive components(2012-08-01) ;Channumsin, Orapin; This paper presents a versatile voltage-mode universal active filter with one input and five output terminals. The proposed circuit is based on using the recently reported active building block, namely differential difference current conveyor transconductance amplifier (DDCCTA). It employs two DDCCTAs as active elements together with two resistors and two capacitors as passive elements, which are all grounded. The circuit simultaneously realizes all the five standard biquadratic filter functions; i.e.; lowpass (LP), bandpass (BP), highpass (HP), bandstop (BS) and allpass (AP), without changing circuit topology. The proposed circuit also has the advantage of high-input impedance terminal, and exhibits electronic tunability of its important parameters through the bias current of the DDCCTA as well as low sensitivity performance. PSPICE simulations using 0.5 μm MIETEC CMOS process are used to validate the theoretical predictions. © 2011 Elsevier Ltd. Item type:Publication, Single-resistance-controlled quadrature oscillator and universal biquad filter using CFOAs(2009-12-01); Surakampontorn, WanlopThis paper presents new single-resistance-controlled (SRC) sinusoidal quadrature oscillator and universal biquad filter circuits with reduced number of passive elements using only two current-feedback operational amplifiers (CFOAs). The first proposed oscillator configuration comprising two CFOAs, three resistors and two capacitors provides two sinusoidal voltage outputs in phase quadrature. The circuit has the advantage of independent control of the condition of oscillation and the oscillation frequency through a single resistor. The second proposed biquad filter configuration consisting of only two CFOAs, two resistors and two capacitors realizes all the standard types of the biquadratic filter functions at low-impedance output without any component matching conditions. The filter also provides orthogonal control of the natural angular frequency (ω<inf>0</inf>) and the bandwidth (BW). In addition, both proposed circuit configurations have good active and passive sensitivity performances. PSPICE simulations and experimental results based on commercially available AD844-type CFOAs are included, showing the excellent performance of the proposed configurations. © 2008 Elsevier Ltd. Item type:Publication, CCCII-based high-output impedance current-mode universal filter employing only grounded capacitors(2006-12-01) ;Jangsamsi, Niwat; A current-controlled current-mode universal filter with three inputs and one output using only three current-controlled current conyevors (CCCIIs) and two grounded capacitors is described. The proposed filter provides lowpass, bandpass, highpass, bandstop and allpass current outputs at a high impedance terminal, which enable easy cascadability. The filter also offers an independent electronic control of the natural frequency ω<inf>0</inf> and the parameter ω<inf>0</inf>Q through adjusting the bias current of the CCCII. No critical matching condition is required for realizing all the filter responses, and all the incremental parameter sensitivities are low. As application examples, the first-order alipass and standard biquadratic function realizations are demonstrated. Item type:Publication, Low-output-impedance electronically adjustable universal filter using voltage differencing buffered amplifiers(2019-03-16) ;Pimpol, Jirapun; In this study, a voltage-mode universal filter with three inputs and single output is presented. The circuit is resistor-less, and consists of only two VDBAs and two capacitors. The proposed TISO filter realizes all the five standard biquadratic filter functions at the low-impedance-output terminal without any component matching criterion. The effect of the VDBA non-idealities on the presented filter performance is also discussed in detail. The presented filter is constructed using two VDTAs, two capacitors and two resistors that are all grounded. The circuit simultaneously realizes lowpass (LP), bandpass (BP), highpass (HP), bandstop (BS) and allpass (AP) filtering responses, without changing the circuit topology. The circuit is capable of providing an independent electronic control of the natural angular frequency (ω <inf>0</inf>) and the quality factor (Q) through the transconductance gains of the VDTAs. By simply adjusting the transconductance ratio, a high-Q filter can also be obtained. Because of the high-input impedance of the circuit, it is advantageous for cascade connection. All the five standard biquadratic filter functions; lowpass (LP), bandpass (BP), highpass (HP), bandstop (BS) and allpass (AP), can be obtained from the circuit configuration. The LP, BP and HP are simultaneously available without component matching condition. By imposing component choice, the BS and AP responses can also be realized from the same circuit configuration. In addition, the proposed circuit provides an electronic control of its natural angular frequency (ω<inf>0</inf>) and quality factor (Q) by adjusting the bias current of the DDCCTA. The simulation results together with the ideal values are also given to demonstrate the performance of the proposed circuit. © 2013 Elsevier Ltd.
