Item type:Publication, Dual-Mode Biquadratic Filter Employing Second-Generation Voltage Conveyors DM Biquadratic Filter Employing VCIIs(2024-02-21); ;Mongkolwai, Pratya; In this paper, a dual-mode biquadratic filter is suggested. The proposed filter employs two Second-Generation Voltage Conveyors (VCIIs) along with four resistors and two capacitors. The suggested filter can realize all five standard biquadratic filter functions such as lowpass (LP), bandpass (BP), highpass (HP), bandstop (BS), and allpass (AP) in both voltage-mode (VM) and current-mode (CM) without needing to modify its circuit structure. The quality factor (Q) and natural angular frequency (ωo) can be accurately and separately controlled through the passive component. It additionally offers the capability of providing the output voltage at the low-output impedance terminal in VM. The effects of the VCII non-idealities on the filter performance have been analyzed in detail. The proposed filter also offers low active and passive sensitivity features. Simulation results achieved with PSPICE software using TSMC CMOS 0.18 μm parameter have been validated and compared with the theoretical findings. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Three-Input One-Output Voltage-Mode Biquadratic Filter Using Single VDBA(2020-03-01); ; In this article, a voltage-mode universal biquadratic filter with triple inputs and single output (TISO) is presented. The circuit consists of only one voltage differencing buffered amplifier (VDBA) along with two capacitors and one resistor. The proposed circuit can realize all five standard biquadratic filter functions namely, lowpass (LP), highpass (HP), bandpass (BP), bandstop (BS) and allpass (AP) without disturbing the circuit structure. The quality factor (Q) and the natural angular frequency (ωo) of the proposed circuit can be controlled by means of the transconductance gain of the VDBA. The circuit also provides low sensitivity performance. The potentiality of the proposed TISO biquadratic filter has been proved by PSPICE program based on TSMC 0.25-μm CMOS technology. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, All-Grounded Passive Component Mixed-Mode Multifunction Biquadratic Filter and Dual-Mode Quadrature Oscillator Employing a Single Active Element(2025-09-01); ;Tangjit, Jetwara ;Faseehuddin, Mohammad; This paper introduces a compact analog configuration that concurrently realizes a mixed-mode biquadratic filter and a dual-mode quadrature oscillator (QO) by employing a single differential differencing gain amplifier (DDGA) and all-grounded passive components. The proposed design supports four fundamental operation modes—voltage-mode (VM), current-mode (CM), trans-impedance-mode (TIM), and trans-admittance-mode (TAM)—utilizing the same circuit topology without structural modifications. In filter operation, it offers low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-stop, and all-pass responses with orthogonal and electronic pole frequency and quality factor. In oscillator operation, it delivers simultaneous voltage and current quadrature outputs with independent tuning of oscillator frequency and condition. The grounded-component configuration simplifies layout and enhances its suitability for monolithic integration. Numerical simulations in a 0.18-μm CMOS process with ±0.9 V supply confirm theoretical predictions, demonstrating precise gain-phase characteristics, low total harmonic distortion (<7%), modest sensitivity to 5% component variations, and stable operation from −40 °C to 120 °C. These results, combined with the circuit’s low component count and integration suitability, suggest strong potential for future development in low-power IoT devices, adaptive communication front-ends, and integrated biomedical systems. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Triple-input single-output electronically controlled voltage-mode biquadratic filter(2019-07-01); ;Dumawipata, TeerasilapaThis article presents the possibility of realizing a voltage-mode biquadratic filter having with three input terminals and single output terminal. The circuit employing only two voltage differencing gain amplifiers (VDGAs) together with two capacitors can realize all the five standard biquadratic filter functions at a single low-impedance-output terminal. It also provides orthogonal current tuning of the natural angular frequency (ω<inf>o</inf>) and the quality factor (Q), and has low active and passive element sensitivities. To confirm the theory, simulation results using PSPICE software are accomplished.
