Item type:Publication, Backward Third-Harmonic Pulse Generation in a One-Dimensional PIM/NIM Structure(2018-12-19); ;Wicharn, S.In this work, a set of couple-mode equations for describing a backward third harmonic generation (BTHG) in a one-dimensional periodic structure of positive-index material (PIM) layers and third-order nonlinear negative-index material (NIM) layers was analysed using multiple-scale method. Due to the negative-index phase matching and band-edge field enhancement the intensities of backward third-harmonic pulsed generated from the PIM/NIM periodic structure is increased for 100 time of those generated from a single NIM medium. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Optical properties of Mn-doped CdS thin films grown by the SILAR method(2018-12-19) ;Phasook, N. ;Kamoldirok, S.In this research, the manganese doped cadmium sulfide (Mn-doped CdS) thin films were synthesized on glass substrates using successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method. The thin films were prepared by different mixing percentage of manganese with cadmium sulfide precursors in the range of 1 - 20 mole%. The optical properties were investigated by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer. The morphology and elemental analysis were measured by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS), respectively. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Dry film Holographic grating based on computer-generated mask Lithography(2022-01-01) ;Inneam, Chanikan ;Tipawan Khlayboonme, S.; ; This paper presented an alternative technique for fabricating the dry film holographic grating based on a mask generated by computer simulation and experimental results. The mask was generated by a fringe pattern which is created by the mathematical model of two beams interference with various angles. Computer simulation of the fringe pattern was printed on film, i.e., the holographic grating mask. The mask was attached on dry film and then illuminated by UV light, where the lithography technique was applied. According to the lithography technique, the computer-generated holographic grating mask was transferred to dry film. After fabrication, fringe patterns obtained from the grating were observed. Then, the grating period was analyzed and confirmed by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Item type:Publication, The effect of red, blue, green and white light emitting diodes on pigment content and sugar accumulation in wheatgrass(2021-01-28); ;Sartpan, SirichaiKamondilok, SurachartThis research studied the effect of light-emitting diode (LED) on pigment content and sugar accumulation in wheatgrass. The wheatgrass was cultured under different lighting conditions, consisting of white (W), red (R, 660 nm), blue (B, 480 nm), and green (G, 525 nm) LEDs. The daily light integral is 2.33 mol/day in 7 days. The wheatgrass was cultured in a close system at a temperature of 25±1 ℃ and humidity of 75 ± 3 %. In the experiment, the completely randomized design was used with three replications of 100 seedings. The wheatgrass that was grown under red and blue light with ratio 1:1 yield a chlorophyll A of 1.0363 mg/L, chlorophyll B of 0.4189 mg/L, and carotenoid of 0.3208 mg/L. The sugar accumulation of 8.234 mg/L is a maximum under the red, green, and blue treatment with statistical significance. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Study of structural and optical properties of PbS thin films(2018-01-01) ;Homraruen, T. ;Sudswasd, Y. ;Sorod, R.; This research aimed to synthesize lead sulfide (PbS) thin films on glass slides using the successive ion layer absorption and reaction (SILAR) method. We studied the optical properties and structure of PbS thin films by changing the number of dipping cycles and the concentration of precursor solution. The results of this experiment show that different conditions have a considerable influence on the thickness and absorbance of the films. When the number of dipping cycles and the concentration of the solution are increased, film thickness and absorbance tend to become higher. The xrays diffraction pattern showed all the diffraction peaks which confirmed the face center cubic and the structure of PbS had identified. Grain size computation was used to confirm how much these conditions could be affected. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Digital holography system for undergraduate student laboratory(2015-01-01); ;Plaipichit, S.; Yoshimori, K.In this paper, we discuss the digital holography (DH) experiment in our optical and communication laboratory course for undergraduate students at Physics department, KMITL. The purposes of DH experiment are presenting our students the meaning and advantage of DH and its applications. The Gabor configurations of in-line DH has been set up for recording a number of samples, which were placed on different distances, simultaneously. Then, the images of all objects have been numerical reconstructed by using computer. The students have been learned that all of reconstructed images have been got from only one time recording, while using the conventional recording technique, sharp images of different objects have been gotten from different recording time. The students also have been learned how to use DH technique for investigation some different kinds of samples on their own of interested such as a human hair or a fingerprint. In our future work, our DH system will be developed to be a portable apparatus for easily showing to children in different areas. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Temperature dependent photoluminescence of ZnSe/Alq3 hybrid heterostructure(2008-12-01); ;Potirak, P.II-VI inorganic/organic heterostructures consisting of ZnSe and tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (Alq<inf>3</inf>) were prepared by electron beam evaporator. Alq<inf>3</inf> layer with 20 nm was grown between 200-nm ZnSe layers. Photoluminescence measurement was conducted at various temperatures in order to investigate the important temperature-dependent parameters of this structure. PL spectra revealed thermal population of exciton state and the change in PL quantum efficiency of the film. © 2008 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Multi-range Ammonia Gas Sensor Control and Monitor via IoT System(2022-01-01) ;Kruakuanphet, Aphichaya ;Phongwisit, Phachara; ; In this paper, we present a multi-range of ammonia gas concentration control and monitoring via IoT system. We can select the ammonia gas concentration measurement range by adjusting load resistance within the voltage divider circuit. The appropriate measurement range, which corresponds to the concentration of ammonia gas produced by agricultural and industrial activities, can control and monitor via Blynk application. The MQ-137 gas sensor is selected as the main sensor, and each load resistance condition within the voltage divider circuit is calibrated with known ammonia gas concentration inside a calibration box. The calibration data is input into computer programming and processed by ESP8266 microprocessor. After calibration, we obtained a multi-range ammonia gas sensor suitable for measuring the ammonia gas concentration for each concentration range. The experiment showed that load resistance affects the measurement accuracy of ammonia gas concentration. We can select the load resistance suitable for the ammonia gas concentration and display on a smartphone via IoT system. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Imaging enhancement of digital holography using photorefractive effect(2015-01-01) ;Sidakum, K.; ;Plaipichit, S.; Yoshimori, K.In this research, two-wave coupling in photorefractive lithium niobate crystal has been used to do imaging enhancement of digital holography (DH) system. The image bearing beam of in-line DH system has been incident and interfered with a reference beam that was emerged from the same laser on a LiNbO<inf>3</inf> crystal. With certain angles between both beams, the energy of the reference beam was transferred to the image bearing beam then resulted the enhancement of the reconstructed image of the DH system. By using the suitable intensity of laser beam with a right PR crystal, the image from an in-line DH imaging system would be improved. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Image Generation for Moina Classification using GAN-CNN and Digital Holography(2024-01-01) ;Voochaiyaphum, Bunyarit; Moina are small aquatic organisms that cannot be differentiated by species with the naked eye. In this research, we employed the GAN-CNN technique to generate images of Moina from raw hologram data and to automatically classify the species. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the GAN-CNN technique for species classification.
