Item type:Publication, Tunable current-mode log-domain universal filter(2010-08-31); ;Somdunyakanok, Montri ;Angkeaw, KritDejhan, KobchaiThis paper describes the design of a current-mode universal filter based on log-domain filtering concept. The circuit is a direct realization of a first-order differential equation for obtaining the two integrators loop structure. Lossless integrators are realized by log-domain lossy integrators. The proposed filter comprises only two grounded capacitors and sixteen transistors. Frequency response of the proposed filter can be instantaneously controlled over a very wide frequency range by controlling current. Quality factor is independently controlled by another current. It can be seen that the proposed circuit suites for high-frequency applications. A validated BJT model that used in simulation is operated by a single power supply as low as 2.5V. The wide-range frequency response is controlled over five decades of current controlled. ©2010 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Realization of OTA-C current-mode universal filter based on two type integrators loop(2007-12-01); ;Somdunyakanok, Montri ;Angkeaw, KritDejhan, KobchaiA universal current-mode active filter based on 2 types of integrator, lossy and lossless integrators, is presented. The biquadratic transfer function is obtained by the two integrators loop. The proposed circuit employs only 2 multiple output OTAs (MO-OTA) and 3 capacitors. The parameter Q<inf>P</inf> can be wide-range tuned independent from the ω<inf>P</inf> either changing of capacitor and transconductance gains. Moreover, the four different kind filter functions as lowpass, highpass, bandpass and band-reject response can be also obtained without changing circuit topology. The parameters ω<inf>p</inf> can be electronically tuned through adjusting the transconductance gains of the OTAs. The simulation results have been carried out by PSpice. © 2007 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Universal filter and its oscillator modification employing only active components(2009-01-01); ;Somdunyakanok, MontriDejhan, KobchaiAn active-only devices current-mode universal fIlter using the biquadratic transfer function is proposed. The proposed circuit is realized based on minimized active-only components count without external passive elements. The electronic resistors are used instead of 2 OTAs. The different kinds of fIlter function such as lowpass, highpass, bandpass and band-reject response can be obtained without changing circuit topology. A quadrature oscillator can also be easily modifIed without changing circuit topology. The proposed circuit is realized by using 4 MOS transistors, 3 OTAs, and 2 Opamps. The parameters ~ and Qp can be electronically tuned independently through adjusting the transconductance gains of the OTAs. The simulation results are given by PSpic. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Log-domain multiphase sinusoidal oscillator(2011-10-13); ; Dejhan, KobchaiThis paper describes the design of a log-domain multiphase sinusoidal oscillator (MSO). The circuit is a direct realization of a first-order differential equation for obtaining the non-inverting and inverting lossy integrators. Each integrator comprises only a grounded capacitor and six transistors. The proposed MSO can be instantaneously controlled over wide frequency range by controlling the bias currents. The high-frequency of oscillation and oscillation condition can also be independently tuned which are indicated proposed MSO suitability in communications and high-frequency applications. The power consumption is obtained around 5.78mW at 100μA of bias current based on 2V single power supply. The oscillation frequency is controlled over four decades of frequency. The total harmonic distortion of four-phases (11.33MHz) is obtained around 1.12%. © 2011 IEEE. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
