Item type:Publication, Magnetoelectric properties of BaTiO3 - Co0.5Ni0.5Fe2o4 composites prepared by the conventional mixed oxide method(2013-10-29) ;Pulphol, Nattakarn ;Muanglua, Rangson ;Niemcharoen, Surasak; Multiferroics, which display simultaneous ferrimagnetic and ferroelectric properties, have been interesting recently because of their potentially significant applications in multifunctional devices such as magnetic resonance, drug delivery, high-density data storage, ferrofluid technology, etc. Composites combining BaTiO<inf>3</inf> with Co<inf>0.5</inf>Ni<inf>0.5</inf>Fe<inf>2</inf>O<inf>4</inf> have influenced the interest of many researchers, due to their outstanding and distinguished character called magnetoelectric (ME). In this work, ferrimagnetic-ferroelectric composites of BaTiO<inf>3</inf> nanopowder and Co<inf>0.5</inf>Ni<inf>0.5</inf>Fe<inf>2</inf>O<inf>4</inf> nanopowders were prepared by a conventional mixed oxide method. The multiferroic ceramics were compounded with the formula, (1-x)BaTiO<inf>3-</inf>(x) Co<inf>0.5</inf>Ni<inf>0.5</inf>Fe<inf>2</inf>O<inf>4</inf>, in which x = 0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20 and 0.35. All of the compositions were analyzed by an X-ray diffractometer (XRD) in order to reveal the phase of perovskite and spinal structure. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to examine the variation of morphology and grain size of the composited ceramics. The magnetism of all the ceramics was measured using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The results showed that microstructure and the amount of ferrite are related strongly with magnetization. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Sonochemical synthesis of monodispersed perovskite barium zirconate (BaZrO3) by using an ethanol-water mixed solvent(2015-07-01) ;Charoonsuk, Thitirat; ; ; Maensiri, SantiPerovskite barium zirconate (BaZrO<inf>3</inf>) was synthesized successfully in an ethanol-water mixed solvent under ultrasonic irradiation. Four compositions, including 0%, 30%, 50%, and 70% by volume of ethanol in ethanol/water mixed solvent, were used. The effect of ethanol content and irradiation time on the phase formation and morphology of product particles was studied and discussed. As a result, a pure perovskite BaZrO<inf>3</inf> phase was formed completely at a short irradiation time of about 15 min in 70% by volume of ethanol without the calcination process. The average particles size decreases and particle size distribution becomes narrower by increasing the percentage of ethanol volume. On the other hand, the monodispersibility of BaZrO<inf>3</inf> particles was improved significantly through ultrasonic irradiation. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Preparation of lead zirconate-lead nickel niobate ceramics by the reaction sintering process(2009-12-01); ; ;Niemcharoen, Surasak; Laoratanakul, PitakThe perovskite structure of lead zirconate - lead nickel niobate ceramics, (1-x) PbZrO3-xPb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PZ - PNN) at x between 0.00-0.50, has been prepared by the reaction-sintering process. The specimens were prepared directly from a mixture of their constituent oxide without any calcination step. The PZ - PNN ceramics could be obtained after 6 h sintering at 1,100-1,250°C. Crystal structure and phase transition of PZ-PNN were investigated by x-ray diffraction (XRD). XRD indicated that the structure of PZ-PNN ceramics is orthorhombic for a composition where x = 0.00, rhombohedral for compositions where x = 0.10 ≤ x ≤ 0.40 and pseudo-cubic for a composition where x = 0.50. The dielectric properties of the ceramics were measured as functions of both temperature and frequency. The results indicated that the transition temperature decreases with increasing PNN concentration. Furthermore, morphology and grain size evolution have been determined via a scanning electron microscope (SEM). Item type:Publication, Polarization and Depolarization Current Characteristics of Thermally Stressed Stator Coils(2020-10-25) ;Thungsook, Kittisak ;Phumipunepon, Natnaree ;Worthong, Tehneht ;Methavithit, WinaiWhen the motor is exposed to thermal stress more than its limit, its insulation characteristic degrades and/or deteriorate. This paper presents the characteristic of stator coils under thermal stress by analyzing the polarization and depolarization current (PDC) characteristics. This research used a slot part of stator coils, which were obtained from a synchronous motor rated 6.6 kV with class F (155°C) insulation. Twelve test samples of motor stator coils were divided into four groups depending on the stress temperature levels, 100°C, 140°C, 180°C, and 220°C. Each specimen was heated at the specified temperature for four cycles (6 hours per cycle). To analyze the insulation characteristic of the tested specimen, PDC measurement was performed. It was found that the PDC magnitude decreased related to the number of thermal cycles and temperature levels, as described in this paper. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The Behavior of Dissolved Gas in Mineral Oil with TiO2 and Three Types of Insulation Paper at 150 Degree Celsius(2024-01-01) ;Jongvilaikasem, Korraya; ; The main electrical insulation in oil-immersed transformers is liquid insulation and paper insulation. Liquid insulation is generally used mineral oil. However, improvements in the quality of liquid insulation are continually being made for better efficiency i.e. adding various additives such as inhibitors and nanoparticles. Nanoparticles are a solid substance used in research for many years. TiO<inf>2</inf> is a type of nano that is commonly used in research to increase the efficiency of mineral oil. This research experimented by preparing dry transformer oil mixed with 0.03% TiO<inf>2</inf>. The test vessels consisted of 3 main components: 1) 35 ml of MO with 0.03% TiO<inf>2</inf>, 2) 1 gram of paper with three types of insulation including pressboard, kraft, and diamond dot paper, and 3) two types of coils including copper and aluminum with size 1∗2.5 cm. The sample vessels were aged at 150 C for 72 hours in the vacuum oven. After aging, oil samples were analyzed by dissolved gas analysis (DGA). From the DGA test results, it was found that similar weights of different types of paper produced different gas-generating results. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The Behavior of Dissolved Gas in Difference Liquid Insulation With ZnO Under Thermal Ageing Condition(2024-01-01) ;Jongvilaikasem, Korraya; ; Mineral oil is a commercial product that has been widely used as a dielectric liquid in transformers. However, alternative liquids have been developed to gradually replace mineral oil because of some better liquid insulating properties in the point of safety aspect and environmentally friendly. This paper represented the behavior of Dissolved Gas in different types of liquid insulations mixed with nanoparticles under thermal aging conditions. Various types of liquid insulation including mineral oil, natural ester, and palm oil added with a 0.03% concentration of zinc oxide (ZnO) and sorbitan mono-oleate surfactant (Span 80) underwent thermal stress aging at 90, 110, 130, and 150 degrees Celsius with 200 mbar for 72 hours in a vacuum oven. Then, the concentration of dissolved gas in the stressed samples was investigated by the Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) technique. From the test results, it was discovered that distinct liquid insulations and aging temperatures produced diverse dissolved gas generation behaviors. Besides, the dielectric liquid with Nanofluids or Nanofluids mixed with span 80 seems to have no different dissolved gas generation behaviors. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Processing and characterizations of Bi2O3/BaTiO3 ceramic(2013-10-29); ;Banjong, DondanaiThe objective of this work is to provide the process for making BaTiO<inf>3</inf>-based ceramics by adding bismuth oxide (Bi<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>) into the system. The attention is also focused on synthesis conditions, where sintering temperature exhibits a pronounced effect on phase formation, density, microstructure and dielectric properties of BaTiO3 ceramics doped with different contents of Bi<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> nanoparticles. The phases of BaTiO<inf>3</inf>-based ceramics have been prepared by solid state reaction using different Bi<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> amount and characterized by X-ray diffractometry, Archimedes's method, scanning electron microscopy and dielectric spectroscopy. The results show that single phase of BaTiO<inf>3</inf> with no evidence of secondary phase forms in all samples. Abnormal grain growth was found in pure BaTiO<inf>3</inf> ceramic with 37.30 μm of average grain size. After added Bi<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf> nanoparticles into system, the grain size significantly decreases and the sintering temperature of BaTiO3-based ceramics efficiently reduces without degrading the dielectric characteristics. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Synthesis, characterization and dielectric properties of Mn(2-x)znxP2O7 ceramics(2013-10-29) ;Sutapun, Manoon; ;Niemcharoen, Surasak; Manganese zinc pyrophosphate (Mn<inf>(2-x)</inf>Zn<inf>x</inf>P<inf>2</inf>O<inf>7</inf> when x = 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0) ceramics were fabricated by conventionally mixing oxide using the normal sintering method. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The XRD results indicated that synthesized Mn<inf>(2-x)</inf>Zn<inf>x</inf>P<inf>2</inf>O<inf>7</inf> systems have a pure monoclinic phase without the presence of phase impurities. The lattice parameters and crystalline sizes analyzed from XRD data were changed depending on the amount of added Zn2+ ion concentration in the Mn<inf>2</inf>P<inf>2</inf>O<inf>7</inf> structure. The FT-IR and Raman results showed the fundamental vibrations of P<inf>2</inf>O<inf>7</inf> 4- ion and Mn-O or Zn-O, which confirmed the Mn<inf>(2-x)</inf>Zn<inf>x</inf>P<inf>2</inf>O<inf>7</inf> formation. In addition, dielectric stability of temperature and frequency was observed in the composition, x = 1.0, with a dielectric constant value of 11.5 at 1 MHz. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Preparation and properties of lead free bismuth sodium titanate-bismuth zinc titanate ceramics(2009-12-01); ;Niemcharoen, Surasak; ;Tungsitvisetkul, NattapongChinwaro, PimjanLead-free piezoelectric ceramics based on (1-x)Bi1/2Na1/2TiO3 - x Bi(Zn1/2 Ti1/2)O3 (x = 0.0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.10, 0.20, 0.30, 0.40, and 0.5) were obtained via solid-state processing techniques. The influence of BZT addition on BNT characteristics, sintering, microstructure and properties was investigated. A single perovskite phase with rhombohedral symmetry was obtained for Bi(Zn1/2Ti1/2)O3 substitutions of up to 10 mole%. Item type:Publication, Dielectric Properties of Natural Ester Mixed with Nanoparticles under Thermal Stress(2020-10-25) ;Kittikhuntharadol, Yannaphol; This paper aim to study of the dielectric properties of thermal stressed natural ester mixed with TiO2, and ZnO. Polarization and depolarization current (PDC) along with dielectric loss factor (tanδ) of the test specimens were investigated. The test specimens comprised of unmodified natural ester and natural ester mixed with different volume concentration, i.e., 0.01%, and 0.03% of TiO2, and ZnO. After preparing the natural ester and the natural ester nanofluid specimen, such specimens were undergone with thermal stress at 110 degree Celsius for 72 hours in vacuum oven. Then, a PDC-Analyser-1MOD was utilized for PDC measurement of the test samples. For tanδ measurement, test circuit was set-up according to IEC 60247 and the C and tanδ meter with the liquid electrode were used. From the test result, thermal stress strongly affects the PDC and tanδ characteristics of the liquid samples. Besides, natural ester mixed with 0.01% of TiO2 concentration shows the high potential dielectric liquids compared with other specimens.
